Dont cut the 9mm short with proper loads like speer gold dot 124 +p or the law enforcement load ww 127 +p+ it makes a great defense cartridge . Corbon 115 gr are another good load and are avaliable to the public. Evan Marshall a retired detroit cop has done research on one shot stops on various handgun cartridges and the better 9mm loads are all in the 90% range. Of course so are the 40 sw loads. The advantage of the 9mm is practice ammo is much cheaper and practice is what it takes to become proficient with a handgun. I have quite a few 9mm handguns and I never feel undergunned carrying one in an urban setting. If Im in the woods say bear country well thats a different matter and I usually carry this titanium 44magnum loaded with 250gr ww partition gold. You learn to handle a 44mag that weighs only 28oz everthing else is a piece of cake. I find it almost humorous that the antigunners make the claim that every ammendment in the bill of rights gives those rights TO THE PEOPLE except the 2nd. Amazing how they can find things that are not there and exclude some that are. Hopefully the supremes will silence the antis once and for all.
