The Frankenmuth Reserve program is considered outstanding. It was created in 1986 primarily to assist with the growing Bavarian Festival. All reserves work under the direction of an MCOLES certified officer. Many of these reserve officers use their status as a kick start to a career in Law Enforcement.
They patrol with a full time officer to provide immediate backup. The take calls for assistance, follow up on investigations and testify in Court. Solo the can d bicycle and foot patrol.
Frankenmuth has stringent standards and these reserves must meet the same qualifications as a certified officer. They receive 260 hours of in-house training and annual training. |
