Blowing up the Big Mac?

"Blowing up the Big Mac?"
I didn't understand how 1,000 Tracfones were going to blow up the big Mac.
A Big Mac hamburger maybe.....
But using a phone as a timer/relay although used frequently [Spain,Iraq]; one doesn't need 1,000 of them.
There was no proof, AFAIK, of explosives in their possession, or plans to blow the bridge.
I think the local DA rushed to judgement in that regard. This not to say these people were not involved in a criminal enterprise, just that I doubt they were actively planning to blow the Big Mac.
Glad to see the Feds are taking over and getting them on real charges.

I do not think they would use all those phones to blow up the bridge as much as they can be used for communication between their operatives. Perhaps a cell phone call made to another cell phone would trigger some type of explosive that is attached.
