Dispatch from New Mogadishu

Hats off to Detroit, for providing such a massive warning sign alerting us as to where moonbattery is taking our country. The latest from New Mogadishu:

A former homicide lieutenant who investigated the death of exotic dancer Tamara Greene said in a sworn affidavit he suspects the woman was killed by a member of the Detroit Police Department. Alvin Bowman also said in the affidavit he is aware of links between Greene and "high-ranking city employees" and an unnamed associate of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Evidently, Greene had stripped for money at Kilpatrick's Manoogian Mansion, and was assassinated by the police, possibly because she wouldn't keep her mouth shut about having been seriously assaulted there by Kilpatrick's wife.

The Motor City Mayor has misused the police before:

The mayor is embroiled in controversy over $8.4 million in city settlements paid to three other former Detroit police officers who filed whistle-blower suits alleging they were retaliated against for reporting or investigating alleged wrongdoing by the mayor and his police bodyguards.

How could a goon like Kwame Kilpatrick get elected Mayor of a major American city? The same way the obviously underqualified leftist Barack Obama could be elected President.

Contract murders can get you in hot water, even in Detroit. Naturally Kilpatrick defends himself by playing the ever-reliable race card, even dropping the N word on live TV:

In the past 30 days, I've been called a n----- more than any time in my entire life.

The poor guy's a victim of racism. What's all this fuss about a dead stripper?

As with Eliot Spitzer, the media has been refusing to acknowledge that Kilpatrick is a Democrat. Maybe they just realize it's obvious.

It is interesting to watch in this detroit case how the Mayor is trying to change the focus from the fact that he misled the Council in settling lawsuits and costing the taxpayers over $8.5 million to it being about an infidelity between he and his wife.... "If the citizens could just forgive this indiscretion"... what a joke.... frankly who cares if you are cheating on your wife... that is between the two of you.... when you lie on the stand and cost the City millions.. that is between he and nearly 1 million taxpayers....

I have been following this "thing" and I am completely amazed at how people are still standing behind him, there are a lot more people that would be more than happy to take that job, with higher ethical standards, whether they be, black, white, oriental, hispanic, blue, polka dotted or pink!!!!

The media reported the indiscretions, the text messages. Did he lie? Yes. Did he jump someone else's bones? Yes. Did he say that God was testing him? Yes. (Still trying to figure the relevance.) Is he blaming the media? Yes. Yet, he is not willing to be held accountable. Did the two state of the city addresses contain the same information? Pretty much.

OY...
