| What a horrible thing to endure. Take a car for a test ride and have one of your kids shot and killed because thugs were after a car salesman. I hope the thugs fry and the salesman should be as well. |

| nobody cares about blacks because if they did they would have done something about this oppressed life we are living in. some years ago two young black kids (ages 8 and 11) had there their throats slit by two black men all because the twoo men had killed the kids mother and had to kill the kids because the kids saw the two men beat the woman and drug her out the house to go kill her. no one remembers this because no one cares about the black race. this latest incident gives people a chance to down the black race. give these kids jobs with descent wages to keep them off the streets and out of trouble. every since Buick left this city it has become a living hell |

| Don't you think it is about time the black race takes a little more proactive approach and put a little more effort and help themselves? Time to quit blaming everyone else and do something on your own. I left Flint and continue to work my ass off each and everyday to make a living. No one has ever given me anything and I feel if I can do it, then anyone can do it. But, you have to get your values straight and drugs, guns, whores, and pimped up cars are not reality. That's video and TV. |

There have been 14 million black children babies killed. This is supported by the NAACP. Black people are rewarded for not working which helps them not learn job skills and have a worse resume. When you look at Flint it almost seems to me like we do more to keep black and also white people poor than to bring them jobs. It almost seems to me like a black person is better off living in Republican areas where there is jobs, less crime, better leadership and lower taxes. It was a black democrat mayor and I assume black council that helped make it harder for Flint which is a majority black city to start up businesses but who needs home businesses in the north end. Democrats wouldn't want white Republicans crossing over the river to support black home businesses now would they? Isn't that what black democratic mayor Stanley wanted to stop? I bet if you look back blacks in Flint were better off under Republican leadership in the days of our Republican mayors. Flint at one time had great schools and was run really well. It almost seems to me like people in Flint and Genesee county think that union democrats bring jobs but it's really businesses that bring jobs!!! It may have taken thousands of democrats to bring GM to it's knees but it only took 1 Republican governors grandson to singlehandedly start up GM. Now it's non union Republicans down south that are killing GM. I don't think Granholm has a clue how to compete with better Republican leadership down south that are bringing jobs. Granholm's TV ad is even pathetic. She has brought in 1,000 jobs for about 10,000 that have been lost?
As far as discrimination goes I have heard that white democratic professors do a good job of discriminating against white Republican soldiers that have fought for our country. I've also heard black democratics hold few leadership positions in the democratic party. It was the democratic party that fought to keep slavery. It was the Republican party that was founded to fight slavery.
As far as nobody caring about blacks I have been down at city hall trying to fight for black business rights. Since the majority of Flint iss black this would mainly be beneficial for blacks.

| I think the black race suffers from a very bad public image. It just seems to me (my views) that the black race is always out to make a quick buck or to take advantage of a situation and to constantly blame everyone else for their problems. That just does not cut it anymore. Example: The owner of the now closed Collins Funeral Home received 50 grand from the City of Flint to help his struggling funeral home. Now why would the city do that and where was the money spent and do you think the city will ever get their money back? NO! That was the taxpapers money. The image is, give me something for nothing and too bad about being responsible enough to pay it back because I'm owed this because I'm black and a few hundred years ago blacks were slaves so you owe us. Well I'm a native american so should I get part of the casino action? Come on-HELP YOURSELFS and give up the guns, quit buying drugs and buy some food. |
