As we are constantly hearing in the media that Obama could become Americas first Black Prez I have a question for all those who support him. Since he is the offspring of a caucasian mother and a black father who according to Barack had zero to do with his upbringing how come he keeps getting labled as the first serious black candidate. Apparently his mothers genes and influence as a white female has nothing to do with his heritage and only his appearance counts in his presidential bid??? What gives Obama fans. Confused

Ya its a serious question. The media and the democratic party are the ones who always interject race into everything especially this prez race. They are the ones labeling Obama by his race rather than stating he is just another man running for the presidency.
I checked the Kansas .com thing and found things like a tiny toy car painting video, french green bean recall, purple yams purple heaven, didnt quite figure out what that had to do with my original post.

Public enemy???

Everyone knows that Slick Willy was the first black President.
Seroiusly, there will be a black and/or woman President some day. I don't think either Obama or Shillary are qualified, though.

well, actually american law as it was during the early 17th. century
defined race that way. there was a problem with high numbers of
mulattos, tawnys, octoroons, etc., so a definition had to be invented to keep everything separate and profitable. there was a law stating any
white person with 1/16th. african blood was considered "negro", therefore
a legal slave. just plain american history. many have erased the african
element by continuous copulation with white folks and some have not.
what you see in america today is the culmination of interbreeding, either
out of love or force. it's no big deal, it's just the way it was. american
law and everything that came with being black made obama a black guy.

no disrespect intended. in addition, my answer has nothing to do with
supporting him. it has to do with history. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

damn adam, you read some far out stuff!!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

by the way...as far back as history has been recorded, humans have
mixed whenever they were together. thats what humans do. it's no
big deal. Wink
