And the funny thing about this story is that I anticipated that possible response last year, and I called every Rite Aid in Flint to see if they had it. They all said yes and all said it was over the counter. Guess I should've tried the Target, eh? Wed Jan 23, 2008 2:02 pm  Demeralda F L I N T O I D GAHH!!!! Okay this one is making me mad. Here's the deal: The morning after pill has NOTHING TO DO WITH A FERTILIZED EGG OR EMBRYO. There may be an egg, there may not, but it is not an embryo until it is attached to the uterine wall. The morning after pill, all it does is accelerate your period. This to me so clearly averts the moral implications of what some would consider a fetus. As for side effects, there's no drug on earth that doesn't have them. But this pill cannot come NEAR the risks associated with live birth OR abortion. I can't speak for all women, but the side effects I experienced from this drug were no worse than many antibiotics and birth control pills I've taken. Someone needs to explain to me how taking this drug is not the most responsible thing you could do.
