well. increasingly more and more people are searching for a deeper
meaning to life. perhaps she and her husband are on that search. i
don't think that search should be funded by tax dollars of course.
the complete situation is unfortunate. my personal feeling which counts
for nothing, is that scientology may be considered a cult, but then most
religious doctrines are considered that by some. |

Heck yeah! It's like anything that has touched Scientology is corrupted -- it's always about more money and more people. This is no different. The more you spend, the more they convince you that you need to go on and spend even more.
Thanks for those articles, fascinating. I thought it was particularly interesting that the Congolese guy had all his stuff stolen at the exact moment where Landmark would be best positioned to be seen as his savior. I wouldn't put it past them that they stole it themselves.
The question is, why the HELL is this operating in Flint?
On a separate note, in light of these articles, I wonder if Ms. Loving is/was one of their "volunteers", and how much, if any, money went from CA to Landmark, and how many of its employees are still chasing their courses. In other words, did she set up the employees of her own agency to be tricked into this "movement"? |

Andi's response: EXACTLY!!! You are supposed to call people at the end of the sessions, people that you know and tout how it changed your life and encourage them to come in and spend money, by attending the sessions. Same concept as Scientology, spend money to "get clean". What I don't know is if it's a pyramid scheme in the sense that if you get people to a session, do you get paid? Dunno.
Brainwashing at its finest. I have read some of the experiences from people that have had bad experiences and good experiences, you are supposed to do all of the touchy feely crap in order to get in touch with your past......Um, build a bridge and get over your past, save ya tons of money......oy. |
