I assume that background checks have been run on all Walling supporters to make sure there's no "thugs" among them. What happened to the Dem's much vaunted compassion for those who have run afoul of the law? Or, does that only apply to those not considered enemies?
Ted Kennedy - lets Mary Jo drown while he hides; OK
Bill Clinton - gets oral sex in Oval Office from someone not his wife; OK
Don Williamson - serves 3 years for bad checks over 40 years ago; "EVIL THUG"
Ted Kennedy - Never convicted of anything regarding Mary Jo
Bill Clinton - Oral sex is not a crime
Don Williamson - Convicted.
Even though I don't agree with ANY of these people, facts are facts.

Ill bet their are many who might not have voted for the "Excon" if they would have had a choice other than some Liberal dem who had full backing of the Dem party. I dont blame em I would have chosen the lesser of two evils myself. |

And who was backing Williamson on a state or national level ?
Nobody.
And that is what Flint has to work with, a Mayor without a network and a Mayor without any vision for the future nor the resources to make it happen.
He is isolated, and he likes it like that.
Question is; do you like it ? |

actually, when i saw on 17 don reigle cussing in his anti-williamson
diatribe with james sharpe standing by, both with that phony stance
(white shirts, ties with sleeves rolled up) i saw desperation. dayne may
have done better without them and maybe he should have used the
word "old" a lot less because by suggesting don was too old and out-
dated he was unknowingly pissing off quite a few seniors and there are
quite a few. the age card was also a contributor to dayne's loss.
he's a good kid but he allowed the demos too much influence. |

You actually think Saint Ted would be charged with anything in Mass.?
Any kind of sex with someone other than your wife is WRONG, crime or not.
By your reasoning, anyone convicted of anything should be demonized forever.
Does this include the guy that beat my wife almost to death 11 years ago? He served his time, 8 years, and we've totally forgiven him. We wish him well in his efforts to get his life turned around. By your reasoning, we should spend the rest of our lives hating him.
Ted screwed up & walked away from it scot free. Bill walked away scot free. Don paid for what he did & moved on. Why can't you? |

Sorry to hear about that with your wife. As a husband and a father, I truly am.
But also that piece of sh*t that did that to your wife is also not an elected person.
I am am a believer that once a criminal......always one.
I respect your personal decision to forgive that person, but that is what it is, a personal decision.
Bottom line- Flint REELECTED a convicted felon.
I don't care if it was 100 years ago, it does not change the facts. |

How about if we brand them; burn a "C" into each cheek and their foreheads. |

I don't argue with letting a convicted criminal move on after serving the time given to them, but it all together different to elect that person to a position in public office. |

It is funny how you think that I am a Republican...the other guy thinks I am a Democrat.
I am neither.
I don't care who it is. If Santa Claus got convicted of a crime, he should not be in the position he is in also. Party divisions don't mean sh*t to me.
Oh well.
I am glad that you are happy with your choice in Mayor. I am happy with mine, but now we all need to work towards a better Flint. |
