Why would they pick getting rid of the ombudsman over something like this? How much does this office do? How much is it budgeted? http://www.cityofflint.com/dept_info.asp has our other offices. Another one I'm curious about is the civil service commision. http://www.cityofflint.com/civilService/civil.asp Why do we need an extra layor of government like this? Why cant our department heads run their own offices? Another rquestion would be perhaps we could divert money from the victims fund to police so we would have less victims? Even if we cut these departments we could divert their funds to something else like police/fire/schools for some ideas.
