Author    Post   Ryan Eashoo F L I N T O I D Well, I think Bob and Peggy Cook are very very good people. I do have a lot of respect for both of them. They have always been good to me, and helped this city. I remeber when she was a city council woman and i needed help. Barry Williams wouldn't help me, so I called her and she got the job done. It appears that Joe "Mayor Don's .." Conroy has been doing her job, but not officially or legally. The administration plans on waiting until after the election to announce her absence so she can quietly step down. Maybe that's why Terry Bankert is supporting King Don so much. He's hoping to get the Administrator job once Peggy "the puppet" Cook has officially left. The previous female Ombudsman was on an extended sick leave for a far greater period of time collecting taxpayer dollars than you're complaining about here! Years, if I recall correctly. Nobody downtown saw fit to bring that situation to an end for far too long! Who was responsible for that waste of taxpayer dollars? The bone of contention was whether to fire someone who had become disabled and whether that would lead to a lawsuit.
