DON’T LET FLINT’S POLITICIANS
KILL OUR WATCHDOG !!!!

SAVE THE OMBUDSMAN

VOTE ‘NO’ ON PROPOSAL 2

On Tuesday, February 28, Flint voters will be asked whether the city should eliminate the office of Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman is our citizen watchdog, working to keep politicians honest and government officials accountable to the people. The Ombudsman is a neutral party who investigates citizen complaints and keeps government officials accountable to the public. The Ombudsman investigates police misconduct, poor city services, and allegations of shady activities by government officials - and is required to report all its findings to the public so we know what is going on with our government.

The Ombudsman is very inexpensive, costing only $203 Thousand, a tiny flyspeck amount - far less than 1/10 of 1% – of the City’s total expense budget of $314 Million.

DON’T BELIEVE POLITICIANS WHO SAY THIS WILL SAVE MONEY.

THE POLITICIANS WANT TO KILL OUR WATCHDOG TO
KEEP US FROM KNOWING WHAT IS HAPPENING AT CITY HALL !!!!!

KEEP FLINT’S GOVERNMENT HONEST

KEEP THE OMBUDSMAN.

VOTE “NO” ON PROPOSAL 2
