Angry residents appeared stunned at the Haskill 2nd Ward Community meeting with Brown when Brown angrily told an individual that he would not investigate allegations about public corruption in the council nor with the Walling administration. That is a job for a police agency, Brown said.

Well, guess who has command over a police agency-the Flint Police. Is this too close for comfort or not politically correct? Well then he is in talks with the Governors office and the State Police on a regular basis. the could investigate or the Michigan Attorney General could intercede on Brown's behalf.

Then there is the matter of eliminating the Ombudsman. An angry Peter Bade told council at their first meeting that he had thrown away all requests for investigations in the Ombudsman's office. Brown came in to clean up at Haskell and said he had told the Law Department to retain those documents in their office. So was bade lying or is Brown lying to cover up for Bade?

Retaining the documents does not mean anyone is available to work on resolving them. Another cover up?

Of course this also means Brown hopes to avoid investigations into his own sometimes questionable dealings. Cleaves and others have alluded to some of these.

Let us not forget that Governor Snyder ran on a transparency platform.

And yet he allows Brown to have 50 so called community members serve on advisory groups and the citizens of Flint are not even allowed to know who they are. And when Paul Herring, Cleaves and others demanded transparency or even the right to videotape these meetings, they were told no.

What is Brown hiding? I hear that many of these individuals are representatives of downtown groups and some are even part of Brown's organization FARO. Do they live in Flint? Who do they represent and what is their expertise? In other words, is this merely Brown's old boy network and his appointment is a mechanism for them to follow a hidden agenda already in place?

These questions would be answered if Brown was truly transparent.

When asked about Open Meeting act violations, Brown stated they did not apply to his administrative meetings.

I am sure that local activists have already noted the similarities between the recent new indictments against Kwame Kilpatrick and his cohort Bobby Johnson and the nearly completed Ombudsman complaint on the local Complete Towing contract.

The massive federal racketeering and conspiracy case against the so called kilpatrick Enterprise was expanded to include allegation of a shake down of the largest towing contractor in Detroit. Kilpatrick and Ferguson are said to have extorted over $90,000.

Allegations of bribery and proffered gifts were part of the Ombudsman complaint made by local activist Bobby Johnson. In a rush to finish the complaint after Brown indicated the Ombudsman office was being closed, part of the allegations were successfully sustained. However, even more serious allegations were surfacing. I have heard at least two individuals, one in a public meeting, also allege that political figures took unreported cash contributions to extend the contract that was not about to expire and without further bids.

Citizens at Haskell also demanded investigations into the actions of the Department of Comunity and Economic Development, especially transactions involving Eason, Wendy Johnson and others. These will not happen either and Brown is continuing along the path started by Eason.

Webs, fire boots are being stolen from the fire department and good old Alvern Lock will not do anything about it. Snoop around and dig up some info on that one! Ask Raymond Barton!

Lock has no experience in the fire department and has no business running that as well as the Police Department.

What about the allegations that there is a racial disparity in the issuance of discipline and some reverse discrimination lawsuits are brewing?

Detroit's Auditor General Joe harris in a 2005 audit concluded the city police improperly funneled towing business to the towing contractor Fiore. The Detroit News has reported Fiore continues to be the focus of many complaints by citizens, including claims of improper impouds and excessively high fees for towing and storing.

City Council members have complained about vehicles in the city being towed by companies other than Complete. Since the city has a contract with Complete, the towing of a City truck may have been a legitimate one. Residents have the option of requesting any company they want

In the past Flint residents also came to council to complain about towing fees and property being stolen from stored vehicles in Complete. One informant in the Ombudsman report made allegations to council of reverse discrimination by James Patton, owner of Complete Towing. He was aware of alleged payments to council and campaign donations solicited. Members of the public made references to having knowledge of bribes and other payments and have threatened to name names and amounts.

Patton also financed the first recall action brought by Eric Mays against Don Williamson. The amount was said to be about $7500.
