Flint, 10.0 percent, up from 7.7 percent. So if unemployment is tied into crime. Crime should also be UP by the same ratio! Anyone care to make a wager?

I'll take the city's stats and the Don trend anyday. What's that you might ask?

In 2004 The Don hired 11 new officers and Crime increased 17 percent.
In 2005 The Don hired 9 new officers and Crime increased 12 percent.
In 2--6 The Don hired 10 new officers and We don't know the results so far for 2006 however, I'm betting it will be up again from O5!
The Don also wants to hire 50 new officers. I don't know that we can handle that big of a crime increase in the City of Flint. We are almost back to 2005 crime rates. without the help of 50 new officers. Thank You DON!
