Two people arrested for manufacturing meth in eastside home
Published: Wednesday, October 20, 2010, 12:50 PM Updated: Wednesday, October 20, 2010, 5:06 PM
David Harris | Flint Journal
FLINT, Michigan — A 25-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were arrested on Tuesday for manufacturing a meth lab at their eastside home, according to Genesee County Sheriff Robert Pickell.
The sheriff's office drug team, Posse, were executing a search warrant at the home, located at 1817 Nebraska Street, around 5 p.m. and found the two people in the process of manufacturing the meth, Pickell said.
Authorities arrested the two individuals and backed out of the home and called the Michigan State Police meth unit to dismantle the lab. Pickell said the duo have had the lab for two or three months.
They were selling about $1,000 a week, Pickell said. Undercover officers had purchased meth from the individuals previously.
Other drugs, such as ecstasy, were found in the home, he said.
The two are lodged in the Genesee County Jail and are awaiting charges and arraignment.\
Just go across Franklin a couple of houses with all the plants in the front, that WAS/IS a drug house. See people do have jobs!

Can somebody in county government tell me why you have 2 drug crime based units??? You have FANG (Flint Area Narcotics G....) and the sheriff's Posse. It seems like concentrating monies to just one unit is more cost effective. Oooppps , I forgot Pickel's ego and his thirst for headlines. Commissioners of Genesee County, one or the other but not both.

The article says they have had the lab for 2 to 3 months. They have been aware of it that long and wasted tax dollars, police officers time and physical Resources to watch and purchase the product from these entrepreneurs. They have watched long enough to know they made at least $1,000 a week. I have to ask if they deducted the cost of materials used to make the product from the guesstimate of income. We need the police officers on the street responding to acts of violence against citizens first. If there is any resources left after that then use them for investigation of murder cases. The priority schedule of all the Genesee County law enforcement agencies is just no less than moronic. The idiots in charge are to busy trying to get the media spotlight with dumb sh-t that does nothing for the general protection of the tax paying citizens. Forget recalling Mayor walling, Recall the police chiefs and prosecutors.

We lived in Flint for three years, South end. Just before we left, I remember reading that “they” had just received a million plus grant to “clean up” the South end. Where the heck did THAT money go? As we still have friends/neighbors we met while there, we do go back and visit them. OMG, go over to Campbell Street and watch the drug dealers, doing their business in the middle of the street and driveways. Or the hookers that now walk Fenton and Atherton daily. The cops have been called too many times to count, with little if any response. Homes are broken into daily, and the residents get no support from “those in charge.” Can anyone tell me WTH is going on down there??? |

So, the guy sold his pills, now he is filing a police report to get more.
The cops should have arrested him for lying to them.

Could you point out where the article says he sold his pills. I missed it. If you are referring the article that states "When the victim pulled them out, the suspect grabbed them and took off running in an unknown direction." maybe that meant, he surrendered those pill under the threat of violence. You are one of the main critics of the poor FJ poor writing, and lack of information, but now you seem to know more than the reader knows. You don't have to wake up every morning bitter. Do ya? |
