Author    Post   untanglingwebs El Supremo The $910,000 originally slated for Greenview Manor is being shifted to Smith Village. According to Eason, the legal department is reviewing documents regarding Greenview manor and will not reach a decision for at least a month. Problems: Sales are down now so who will buy the new homes? Many existing homes are in such bad condition that emodeling them will be a waste of time and money. Salem was remodeling a home in this area and a wall collapsed. The Genesee County Land Bank has no one with real construction expeience to oversee the program, Will they fall back on agencies like Salem Housing who had problems in this area with renovations and cost overruns. Some in the county claim Land Bank has too many high paying jobs. Is this a way to attempt to circumvent the RFP process and steer contracts to friends?
