Should the Charter Township of Genesee create a township wide special assessment district number 1 consisting of

Gunthers Mobile Home Court, The Highlands, Indian Hills, Kearsley Lake Terrace, North Dort Manor, and PineView
Estates, to provide funds needed to maintain and improve police and fire protection within the township for a period
of five (5) years commencing with the winter of 2010 Property Tax Statements as follows:

District Number 1
1) The annual special assessment shall be $84.00 for all residential improved property adjusted by $1.00 for

2) The annual special assessment shall be $84.00 for all commercial and industrial improved property adjusted

4) The annual special assessment shall be $50.00 for all vacant, commercial and industrial property adjusted by
$1.00 for every $1,000.00 of assessed valuation over $100,000.00, then multiplied by 1.1; and
District Numbers 2 through 10
1. The annual special assessment in districts numbers 2 through 10, shall be $84.00 on all mobile home lots as
that occupancy exists as of December 1, 2009, less an amount equal to $1.00 for every $1,000.00 difference
between the average assessed value of said mobile home lot and the sum of $50,000.00, then multiplied by 1.1.

___ I approve of the Special Assessment for Police and Fire Protection set forth above.

___ I disapprove of the Special Assessment for Police and Fire Protection set forth above.

Examples:
a. Improved residential with an SEV(State Equalized Value) of $37,100: because the State Equalized Value is
less than $100,000.00 no adjusted is needed. The special assessment would be $84.00.
b. Improved residential with an SEV(State Equalized Value) of $149,500;
$100,000.00 – 149,500.00 = $49,500.00
$49,500.00 x .0011*= $54.45
$54.45 + 84.00 = $138.45
Special Assessment would be $138.45

*1.1 : 1,000.00 = .0011
