I found a bill of sale for my G-Grandma's old place, she must have owned it for about 12 years after the death of G-Grandpa as there was no income after he died. I do believe that she went into business with her sister at this time.

752 East Baker Street in Flint...It was a boarding house I do believe.

It had "26 sleeping rooms..."
"One two room apartment.."
"One three room apartment.."
"One Three room apartment upstairs.."

Does anyone remember this? Stories to share? Anyone know if it's still around? Yeah, I can do some research, but this board has people with good memories. Smile Smile

I'm not positive, but I believe that would be East of Saginaw St., and probably gone now. I do remember a lot of boarding houses & "hotels" in that general area.

I've got the title abstract for our house, & it's fun to read it. At one time, 28 acres here was sold for back taxes - $2.00! Also, when we had our lot surveyed to put up a fence, the plat the surveyor used as a reference showed the city limit as being Dupont St. This was shown as Flint Township.

Thanks guys..I don't think that it exists, I couldn't find it on the cityofflint.com website under searching the parcels by address.

I don't think that I have any old pics of that place other than in the basement when GGma would host Thanksgiving parties, so as not to disturb the residents.

BTW Dave I am not working three part time jobs anymore, I finally got a full time job!!! Woot. Well, I will have two other part time jobs too boot. Smile Things are looking up!!!

Ryan, I may be giving you a call about helping me find a "humble" abode, soon...dunno. Smile

Looks like that address would would have been torn down because baker st is broke in half for the business developements. Maybe you could see the property on old areal photos.
