A local activist group plans to file multiple complaints over Patsy Lou Williamson's campaign for state Senate.

Citizens for Accountable Government at a press conference Thursday accused Williamson and five Flint city officials - including her husband, Mayor Don Williamson - of a laundry list of infractions.

The group alleged the campaign wrongly used dealer plates on campaign vehicles, which it says is an illegal corporate contribution; misused city resources; and failed to fully disclose campaign expenses in reports.

Larry Ford, Williamson's campaign press secretary, called the allegations a last-ditch efforts by her opponents to discredit Williamson.

"There is absolutely no truth to any of the allegations. We are attempting to run a squeaky clean campaign," Ford said.

Citizens for Accountable Government includes several political foes of Don Williamson. Similar allegations were made against him before the last City Council election.
