From the conservative magazine National Review

quote:
WASHINGTON (Sept. 27) - A conservative columnist who welcomed Sarah Palin's entry in national politics says she's proven to be a dud and should step aside as John McCain's running mate.
Kathleen Parker, writing in the National Review Online, says her "cringe reflex is exhausted" after watching the Alaska governor stumble through TV interviews and it's become clear to her that Palin is out of her league.

I bet when the first drafts of history behind John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin comes out in a few years, we'll learn that this was one of McCain's hasty, from the hip decisions, made from the gut without too much thought or vetting.

The woman is in way over her head. Of course its too late to legally change the ballot, but I'm sure this won't be the first time somebody wishes out loud that McCain could "do a Sarah Meirs" on her.

Can you give one example of a statement by an advisor of Barack Obama which can be described as "panic" caused by Sarah Palin? Have any Obama supporters here at Flint Talk been expressing anything other than pure amazement that anybody would consider the woman qualified? I think the common reaction was relief and ridicule.

We were all ahead of the curve. Only now that the McCain camp is allowing Ms. Palin share her charms with the media that conservative observers are catching on to what we already knew.

Please spare us your common distractions from this difficult question and give a direct answer for once.

Name one person in the Barack camp who showed "panic" because of Sarah Palin.

Barack Hussein Obama must have since been since he sent his goon squad up to her hometown in the largest anal exam of any VP candidate in history. All that against a candidate that you and he deem unqualified. Not worried ya right. Laughing Direct enough for ya???

For the first time in modern history, we had a Vice-Presidential candidate with absolutely no track history, so OF COURSE the press and Dems went to Alaska to find out info on the woman. That isn't panic, it's prudent research.

. . . and dirt they found! Now that she's actually being allowed to speak to the media, thoughtful conservatives are admitting publicly that she's in over her head. You, however, are still sticking by the hockey mom, so who's drinking the proverbial cool aid?

No shit Sherlock another brilliant deduction on your part, who do you think I am going to support? And of course you are still sticking up for your racist socialist candidate all the while trying to distance him from his past and those he pals up with while attempting to make sense out of the dimwitted things he says.

There is a big difference between Obama and McCain supporters. Our side really believes in what our guy believes in, while your side is mainly motivated to vote for what you see as the lesser of two evils. Which side do you think will feel more motivated on election day? Sure, for a couple weeks, you had the beauty queen pit bull, but now that she has been allowed to speak on her own, even conservatives are beginning to get disappointed. I can't wait for the debate Thursday!

Well my side of course. Very Happy As far as you believing in the Messiah Barack if thats true than why do you always have to attempt to change just about everything he says into something like "well what he really meant to say was". Or when his voting record is brought up its like "Well he has reversed his position on those votes" or well ya he worked with a terrorist but when the terrorist was blowing up things Baracko was only 8 years old, or well ya he worked for ACORN as a street agitator but unlike everyone else working for Acorn he never attempted any illegal voting registrations, or ya he was no.2 on the list of donations from Fannie Mae after only 2 years in the senate but so did so and so also get money from them, or even though his wife and himself have stated they are not proud of America he and her are still great Americans. Or Baracko and his wifey sat in the pews of some racist church for 20 years but never heard the hate whitey speech coming from the guy they supported as their religious mentor. Jeez I could go on and on but I sure am glad I am not associating myself with this clown that seems to have all you libs mesmerized but of course as I have seen over quite a few elections it dosent take much to get you all starry eyed by some slick talking little man like Obama. So tell us just what is this "message" the enlightened one is spreading that has all of you so giddy? Rolling Eyes

First of all, as a Christian, I am REALLY sick of wing-nuts mockingly referring to Barack Obama as the "Messiah". It's not funny, even as a joke. Nobody on the left does this. We simply think he's competent, inspirational, and an effective communicator. A refreshing change from the part eight years. As far as the other stuff goes, I think its possible you're confusing me with somebody else. I've tried to limit my task here to taking out the trash you bring into this board by proving you wrong. You, by the way, usually try to change the subject whenever you're cornered. Prove me wrong. Show me how Sarah Palin's interviews are actually increasing confidence among conservatives in John McCain's decision making ability, or in Ms. Palin's ability to become president if necessary?

Ya right bring up Barackos record and we are trash talking. You can act all high and mighty and above the fray much like Baracko is supposed to be but it was only a few days ago when you were praising a rather lengthy of the quality none of us could possibly match post that portrayed A War hero MCcain as an "asshole" by one of your Flintite Obama loving cohorts. Yup your self described portrait of yourself as a christian may hold great meaning to you but it dosent quite stand the test when you tie yourself to comments like the above and overlook Barackos firm stand on abortion any time any where platform. As far as what your "sick of" I will continue to use any descriptive term I care to when referring to the phony jerk you are backing perhaps even go with some profanity much like your mentors and if you find that not to your liking simply disregard my posts. Simple and not hard to understand.

Actually, it was a little hard to understand. Do you proof your rants before posting? I praised Lake Woman's post because she did something you rarely do. She made a statement, then backed it with facts. You and Adam came by, and rather than dispute her points, insulted her. Even if she called John McCain that, it pales in comparison to the slander you throw around daily. Would you care to debate the question I presented to you earlier, or are you still content simply calling people names? Why don't we come back Thursday night after the debate and see how many more conservatives come around to what Democrats have been saying all along: Sarah Palin is in WAY over her head.
