Ryan, you really missed out on a good opportunity by not participating in the League of Women Voters forum and the Voters Guide they had published by the Flint Journal. I am surprised and disappointed that you were among the missing.
The forum has been aired at least twice on cable channel 17 and the Voter Guide is available online. It's a great way for the voters to meet the candidates they don't know. It also shows who does and who doesn't know about the functions of the office of the Register of Deeds.
By the way, is that your high school picture--when was it taken? |

I have been in that register of deeds office more than almost all the o ther candidates. I also understand the function of the office very well, it is something I deal with on almost a daily basis in my career. The picture was taken about 2 years ago....

Well, I just didn't blow off the event, we were hosting a fundraiser on Lake Fenton that was planned since March. I really wanted to make it, but had to be at this prior engagement.

Nor is anyone else. There's only one Rose Bogardus, and she is only one of many on the ticket. It will be interesting to see how the vote is spread out. Since the City of Flint has no other great local contest on the ballot I think the turnout will be very light. |
