Topic: Great Flint Trivia Party

I held my Flint Trivia party yesterday and we had a ball. I had 14 questions on trivia facts about Flint from historical events to famous people from Flint. I then had 7 pictures of Flint landmarks that each person had to identify. The person with the highest score received a t-shirt from Flint that I had purchased at the airport the last time I flew in. I served Koegel hot dogs (gotta have em) and Halo Burgers as well some other stuff. The real fun was when I posted a sign on my front door stating "Welcome to Flint" "It is now a requirement that all persons entering Flint must carry a gun for personal protection. Please pick up your gun as you enter."
Then on a small table just inside I had squirt guns for each person. Not realizing just how much fun these adults would have once they started filling them with water and squirting each other. My house went crazy. We ate, squirted each other, and had a ball in the pool. What a fantastic day.

Richard,

You need to get out more ! And how can one serve Halo Burger? And give us the goods on your trivia and picture identification.

I served Halo Burgers by making them very big and duplicated the "Supreme burger". YUM! I made a special sauce with mayo and sliced olives and topped the burgers so you could not actually tell they were not from Flint.

Sample trivia questions:
1) What famous game show host hailed from Flint?
2) The first Corvette (hand made in Flint) was introduced in what year?
3) Was it Albert LaSalle, John Higgins, or Walter P. Chrysler who took
a 50% cut in pay to move to Flint?
4) What famous porn star is from Flint?

For picture trivia I posted a picture of a Flint Landmark like this.
1) What is the name of this famous Flint landmark?
a. Cobo Hall b. Genesse Towers c. IMA
2) What building does the Weather Ball sit upon?
a. Genesse Towers b. Westside Credit Unio c. Citizens Bank

(ANSWERS Below)

And so on. The people attending yesterday were all people who came from Flint and/or lived there.

Lot's of fun!

ANSWERS.
1. Bob Eubanks
2. 1953
3. Walter P. Chrysler
4. Allie Sin

Picture Trivia
1. IMA
2. Citizens Bank

Can't be a Halo without olives. So therefore; you didn't make Halo burgers. Just my opinion !

If you read my message it CLEARLY states I had olives on my burgers. I'm sure you must have missed that in your immediate response to take an opposite opinion on anything written today.
I accept your apology.

I didn't initially read anything wrong ! Sliced olives mixed in a mayo sauce doesn't constitute a Halo Burger. Sounds more like you were trying to duplicate a Big Mac with sliced olives.

You must have worked at Halo Burger to be such an expert. Perhaps at my next Flint party I will encorporate your expertise to make sure it is a little more authentic.
Chill....we had fun and celebrated a town which nobody even wants to live in but we keep close to our hearts.

I love that location and it's the only one I will eat at when visiting Flint. Lots of old memories there from my days driving ambulance and working at the funeral homes.
My wife gets so mad at me and would rather not go into the downtown area but I just cannot eat at another Cupie. Love their pecan pie too!
