Oops it was only 3 years ago. Seems longer!! LOL

The Mayor continaully was quoted saying purchasing the tahoes was going to save the City money. My Public School education must have taught me something different. As for some silly reason I think that a average cost of 80 cents a mile is more than 60 cents a mile. What do you say? But again, I'm not a millionare so obviously I don't understand this.

Didnt someone blame Republicans for VooDoo economics? Laughing Laughing Laughing Lets see buy a new Tahoe for every cop on the beat, huge dollars. Buy a Tahoe for every two cops on beat and use money saved for real police work. Confused

Given the same maintenance, how long will a Tahoe last in police work compared to an Impala? Just my opinion, but I'd put my money on the Tahoe.

you never cease to amaze me. No matter what facts! people put before you you still tell them they don't know or can't know! Some of these people that make statements such as Bossam and even myself are in positions to know and have unsual access to the information. Sometimes it is not even unsual. It's public information that is reaadily available ONLINE. And you still claim it isn't true or we are not smart enough to read stats or charts that show exactly what we are talking about.

I must say. Every time you post something here triyng to defend the undefendable. I get a chuckle. Thanks!

NOW! WHat the charter says, and what has been happening are two different things! I would ask that you do a little research before commenting. However, as I've seen in the past. Information and trends is not evidence you use to base your opinions on. I know I'm not alone here when i say. It's all just what ever you feel it should be is the truth. It apparently doesn't matter what the truth is. It's just not right if you don't feel that way.

i am so happy i can make you chuckle. uh, i think your putting words
in my mouth though...all i did was ask you several questions and as
usual you gave no answers. your MO seems to be to blow up with a
feeble attempt at a condescending tone. that ain't gonna work with me
homes....just answer the question. you can refer to those "charts" &
"stats" eh??? Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool
and by the way ted. i can see very plainly your views of the current
administration were "jaded" from the start. why are you pissed at the
mayor? what happened dude????? Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

As I've explained so many times and you've obviously not listened. I was a supporter the first time around. I beilved that he was going to do what he said he was. When he didn't and I discovered that he was in it for himself. I changed my toon. All's I wanted. Was crime to go down and someone to actually look out for our best interests instead of their own. That's not what we got. I hate being lied to.

I'm going to go ahead and do this for you. But, I already know it is fruitless. Facts don't matter.

[quote="last time here"]1. how is he in it for himself?
He maed well over 1.4 million on his I'm doing this out of the goodness of my heart clean up. He thought as Mayor he could get the Casino moved from plans to build it in Flint to his personal property in Mt. Morris. Thereby Flint again lost out on valuable greatly needed jobs. We are currently in Court for him under the Guise of "The Mayor's Office" attmepting to exthort 160,000 from Marvin Riley.

2. has not crime gone down?
NO It hasn't. Not from when he took over the City.
In his first three years in power Crime in Flint almost double. 97 percent if accounting for population changes. His promise was to open the Jail. 1st priority! He waits until Crime Doubles then opens the jail and it drops 60 percent. He still has another 40% just to get back to level it was when he took over. This was all done while he purchased 40 new tahoes that somehow in his mind save money over purchasing impalas, and hiring 50 new officers. Crime didn't begin to go down until he finally opened the Jail and started arresting criminals. What a no brainer! Purchasing Equipment under emergency purchases from his buddies instead of using the process that saves us money. Garbage trucks, Tractors, Tahoes, etc.
Using City workers to and our DIME to work on his campaign. These are just a few that come to mind. I'm sure I could find a whole lot more!

3. what are YOUR best interests? Lower Crime and better police response. We still have our officers running in circles and wasting an over abundance of man hours using antiquated procedures. See my post about "letter about Crime". Bringing in jobs into Flint. Running the Casino out of Flint and then loosing the whole deal is not bringing jobs to flint. Getting the most Bang for our Buck from our tax dollars. Those are my best interests. And again. Give me time. I'll remember a whoel lot more!

I'm ONLY commenting on the Tahoes..... I think they're a better choice than the Impala. Police work is hard on vehicles; they take a real beating. I don;t think the Impala could stand up to it for long. Hit a pothole or curb at speed & the impala's front suspension is gone. Granted, the Tahoe is more expensive to buy & operate, but they should last long enough to make up the difference and then some.

well, i know nothing about the casino deal but it would be nice to have
one here for the sake of jobs.

i seriously doubt he purposely waited until crime went up to open the
city lock-up. i assume it was a matter of available funding and crime did go down after the opening. your saying he didn't do it soon enough
right?

i'm curious as to what an officer would say about your accusations of the
police "running in circles".

will a policeperson please chime in??

The police are running in circles. Most of the time it is due to goofy dispatching practices. Sending a car from one end of the city to another to respond to a call, when a car already in that end of the city could clear or will clear within 1-2 minutes. It will take the car ten minutes minimum to travel all the way across town. Then as soon as they clear that call, run 'em all the way back to the other end of town.
Not to mention that in Flint the tail wags the dog. The mayor runs the department(and he's clueless) and the resources for proactive policing do not exist. The police department here hasn't moved into the 21st century yet. It was only a couple of years ago that they moved into the 20th century.
