The Flint NAACP doesn't have a website. I think this is outdated. If Flint black people are outdated like the Flint chapter of the NAACP they won't be getting jobs that are only posted online.
I also have an issue with the NAACP's support of Abortion. Dead black people can't vote. The lady that founded planned parenthood is a flaming racist and they conveniently locate their abortion mills in black areas like the Beecher district. From what I have heard the black population has gone down thanks to abortions. Why would the NAACP support this? Maybe they can get abortion funding from the KKK. Oh wait maybe this already happens behind the scenes.
Adam- not Right to Life! Right to Choice! Womens issue! Not black not white and not any of your damn business! Planned parenthood does much to prevent unplanned impregnation. Along with affordable womens health care. If you choose to be a parent you have a responsiblity to take care of that child into COLLEGE! Instead of many children split up in foster care from drug mamas or people that bust babies heads on the ground cause they can't deal.
How many women died in the past from back room abortions??? Make it illegal and it will still happen.
A woman goes to the hospital bleeding having a miscarrage will the doctors help her...NO..we don't do abortions. Let her bleed to death... she and the child die. Or better yet give her blood transfusions before it was checked for aids! Oh the wonderful past of womens health!
Men can get Viagra easier than women can get birth control. Its a mans world! GET A VASECTOMY! DUDE! What about men taking birth control pills so they can get estrogen based cancers!

I think abortion is a women's choice. I think what anyone does to their body is their choice. Regardless of what it may be. Getting tats, lips rings, eating fatty foods, smoking, drinking beer, and not wearing a seat belt. Govt', cops, or those in "power" should have no say what a person does to their body.
I did some research on this a while back and found these stats alarming. I almost don't want to believe them.

Since 1973 13 million black babies have been aborted. Compare that to deaths from AIDS 203,000. Violent crime 306,000. Accidents 370,000. Cancer 1,600,000. Heart disease 2,200,000. I know AIDS is a relatively "new" epidemic but those stats amazed me !
Black women make up only 13% of the population between the ages of 15-44. Child-bearing years. But 36% of all abortions are performed on black women. I got this from the U.S. Center for Disease Control.
They are 3 times as likely to get an abortion and 1452 abortions are performed daily on black women.
If you do the math it adds up to this ! There are 31 million black people in the U.S. Add 13 million to that number (the number of abortions performed since 1973) and black population would increase by almost 38%.
Not to be facetious, I don't know whether that is a good or bad thing. Honestly !
But my point is this; it's a women's choice to have an abortion ! |

Pregnancy is everyone involves responsibility to keep it from happening.
Unfortunately this issue isnt just black and white, it is socialeconomics.
Those who are catergorized as poor, and have been generationally poor carry the highest abortion rates, regardless of color. I may not believe in abortion for myself personally, but who am I to make the choice for everyone elses life.
If abortion is taken off the table women will be put back 50 years of protected health risks of abortion because they WILL have it done regardless. I do believe there should be consequences for those who have this issue continuously for the sake of their own health as well others. perhaps intense education on the subject. you have to have aids awareness classes just to get married these days.
Our children in foster care and worse are outnumbering our children who have even one parent in the home. is this a choice you would actually give a child? would you choose a life that a parent didnt want you to begin with or worse. its right here in this city. lets not pretend that we are always right. we can only choose for ourselves, not for anyone else. |

Reading along here. It seems to me that people are constantly making choices for others.

What happened to standing up for the little guy. Giveing those with the least voice represenation? Oops they are too little and too small a voice. |

So basically your saying. If you kill your child it's just fine as long as you don't have a back room abortion? I don't see the logic? And because these "Unwanted children" may have bad lives exposed to drugs etc. They don't have a right to live?

That's just plain ludicris.
Just some interesting facts.
Just because the Mother has Aids. Doesn't mean the child will be born with Aids.
It is strange that some seem to think the mother and the child are the same body. When medically and scientifically that is an imposibility. A woman cannot be a man and a woman or two women at the same time. So if she has twins or triplets, the womand becomes a "Three Person"? That's just plain stupid.
Then there is Blood type. If the child is part of the mothers body. Why do so many babies have different or even opposing blood types than that of the mother?
I'll never understand. How a woman, who carries a child inside her for nine months, can be so heartless to determine that she doesn't want her child?

last i checked this was a freedom of belief and religeous country
the argument is "if" there is another vote to cast. thats where the sticky word "belief" comes into play. Personally I believe there is, others may not. You cannot say for sure one way or another certainly
so... it stays a belief, a choice and it is up to the individual to make it.
tell me, do you belive in birth control?...many consider that wrong too.
who are we to say? |

Most southerners used to think that black people are less than humans and therefore had a very good argument (in their minds) for keeping slavery. Why would northern Republicans fight to infringe on the right to own slaves. Because northern Republicans beleived black people were human beings and should be treated accordingly and not subject to slavery we fought slavery. If you believe a baby is less than human you shouldn't care if the mother kills it. Because I beleive an unborn baby is a human being I can not support abortion.

I'll give way to live threatening. That is legitamate grounds for taking another life. You take one to prevent anothers loss.
So, How many of these abortions are to save the life of the mother? Even if I give you health of the mother as a reason. How many are for the health of the mother? And then of Health of the mother. What devesating affect of pregancy would leave lasting health consequences that are more severe than an abortion. How, many mothers have lost their lives in Abortion Clincs? Since the only stats we get are from eye witness testimony it's tuff to say. Since CDC refuses to track how many women have been killed by abortionists. |

HOW many are NOT given to save the life of the mother!
I am not speaking of abortion clinics where a person enters with intent. Though in the first trimester she has that right.
I am speaking of a pregnant woman who admits into a HOSPITAL because she is bleeding and needs help. She may have a 5 year old at home which she also loves and needs to be able to care for.
Now the hospital lets her continue to bleed for hours on end in the falacy that maybe it will stop on its own. The hospital should do an ultrasound and maybe find out what is the cause of the bleeding. NO MAM, we would rather you bleed to death. Save that 3,4,5 or 6 week old fetus you are a vessel for. Your child at home won't need you because we do not do abortions here!
It is called a D&C not an abortion. The body is trying to do what nature intended because something is not ok with the fetus. Do the Doctors check... NO they would rather allow you to die for moral values instead of medical neccesity.
A miscarriage is an overwhelming life changing god awful thing, Then you have doctors that make you feel like a damn killer because you can not withstand any more pain or blood loss. Then you finally pass the dead fetus or 1 and a half malformed because the daddy told you he was sterile when the truth was he has twins in his family. Then they transfuse you with blood to make up for all you have lost for hours on end. Kicker ...they did not check it for aids prior to giving it to you.
So for years after not only do you feel the loss of the miscarriage and dream of the imagined daughter you wished for... whose soul drifted away over the hospital curtain but you also keep checking for aids to show up. Thanks to MCCLAREN, Happy Thanksgiving!
The woman's health comes first, has priority. In the future to possibly have a girl child whose health will also become a priority. MEN have NO concept. |

And who is attributing this to right to lifers? Seems to me that if it becomes a neccessary procedure. Any doctor would perform it. Also. Why are you bringing in a legiamate procedure. In an attempt to defend abortion? THey are not the same thing. Obviously. |
