I'm going to have to disagree with the optomists. Like Ron Paul has said. If you could take out a billion dollar loan every month ($15 billion in our case) you'd live pretty well for a while. I'm sure things were pretty good in the USSR for a while but eventually their bills come do. In the next 40 years the bills will be coming due.

I agree we would be better off if we could shake off some of the welfare-warfare state but unless Ron Paul wins I don't think that will happen.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) plans to propose a $70 billion economic stimulus package — including emergency housing and heating assistance — as part of an effort to reinforce her appeal to non-affluent Democrats.

Clinton is to announce her “plan to jump-start America's ailing economy” at a union training institute in City of Commerce, Calif., (part of Los Angeles County) Friday at 2:15 p.m. Eastern.
ONLY non affluent Democrats need apply. :lol : Laughing

I would prefer to PotThe Ostrich (Struthio camelus). This is a grosteskly overweight , thoughtless and meaninless large republican bird. This flightless bird native to Burton (and formerly the East Side of Flint). It is the only living species of its family, the rest committed suicide for the good of hunanity, Struthionidae, and its genus, Struthio. Ostriches share the order Struthioniformes with emus, (Nixon), kiwis9Regan), and other ratites ,the rat Bush strain. It is distinctive in its appearance, with a long neck ,legs extended bowling arms and a huge beer belly that could conceal a cord of wood. it and the ability to run at speeds of about .065 km/h (40 mpday), the top land speed of any republican air head bird.[2] The Ostrich is the largest living species of republican bird and lays the largest egg, to be found on its face ,of any bird species.

The diet of the Ostrich mainly consists of lies, deciet, narcissism, self delusion, plant excrement matter, though it eats insects, mostly radio, Rush who?. It lives in nomadic groups, nobody can really stand to be around them, which contain between five and 50 republicans. The group grows no longer becaus they eat their young. When threatened, the Ostrich will either hide itself by lying flat against the ground, or will run away from every meaningful argument. If cornered, it can cause injury and death with a kick from its powerful legs.It fights like a chicken. Mating patterns differ by geographical region, but territorial males fight for a harem of two to seven females, none are good looking resembling ann the coulter.

The Ostrich is farmed around the world by the Bush family, particularly for its feathers, which are decorative and are also used for feather dusters. Its skin is used for leather and its meat marketed commercially.

When you meet one shove a stick init and roast over an open fire, the feathers will burn off....

Eagles feed regularly on this waste material...

I have no problem with helping someone that needs it. I do have a problem with those that have made welfare a way of life.

Socialism/communism and is not a method for success. It didn't work for the pilgrims, it didn't work for the USSR and it is not working for us. Eventually other countries might not decide to support the United States and we will be in serious trouble.

Bush was wrong for giving aid to Haliburton though. Our country really needed that $500 billion or trillion or whatever we wasted in Iraq.

Look what happens with central planning. Look what happens in the countries we give aid to. We probably give enough aid to end world hunger but has world hunger ended? (NO!)

we both know that whomever the president gives money to, american corporations get influence, minerals and resources from at a very hefty profit.

i don't know what your referring to when you say socialism. if you are
referring to americans helping americans, i see nothing wrong with that,
if there are rules and jobs available to graduate toward.

Not every one who thinks we need to take a serious look at a system that allows unaccountable corporations so much power and wealth concentrated in too few hands is a Socialist, Adam, all. Most identify themselves as Americans who think America can do better and that fellow Americans, and the rest of the world, deserve better.

What's the difference between power & wealth concentrated in the hands of a few, or in the government?
