We are so quick to critize Mayor Williamson, but a lot of you guys on here don't praise him for a job well done. So I want take this oppurtunity to THANK Mayor Williamson for improving the condition of Flint roads while out county roads crumble. It use to be you could tell when you were in Flint or not by how bad the roads were. When you hit pot holes you were in Flint Michigan, when the road was smooth you are in Outside of Flint. This is not true today folks, I think our Mayor is doing a great job on the roads!

Lets give credit when credit is due!

yeah, i agree. Laughing i'm convinced he's a mayor who is taking on new and
old problems. sooner or later they would have had to have been dealt
with and i like the fact that he will attack and bring to a conclusion problems
that weren't taken care of in the past. sure, he's catching a lot of hell
from many naysayers, some because of personality conflicts, some
because of perceived (and unwarranted) partisanship and some from
people who for whatever reason will always hate flint. i went against the
wishes of a lot of people because i dared support him but i knew because
of his business acumen, he was the best qualified to bring flint out of
the doldrums. it took a good 25 years to get in this position and it will
take time to get out, but at least the resurgence has begun and i
appreciate that. what i don't appreciate is the obvious insurrection of
various "partisan" entities into his attempts to change things here for
the better. i was honestly taken aback to see so many people, most of
which i always voted for or are friends with, interject partisanship into a non-partisan race. i was never given a "good" reason to vote against him.
i simply cannot allow partisanship ONLY to steer my vote.

Huh? Where do you guys live? I defy any of you to come to my, not bad at all city of Flint, neighborhood. The roads suck. The roads are plowed far less and less often than Flint Twp. The you can go to Flint Twp, just 4 houses away from me, and find much better roads. Just a coincidence, I guess!

Ha! Wait till the layoffs start this summer when the city is in financial recievership again. Roads people, garbage, police all laid off. Mark my word! You will see a new finance director shortly so the mayor can appoint one of his own in order to "fudge" the books.

I am at city hall everyday and see the crap that take place. The recently lost sewer case is a perfect example of how this administraton works.

Yes. In fact, he was on one of my shows (seemingly a very nice guy). I confronted him about it. Didn't help much. Last week my car almost fell into a pothole.

Talk to the mayor. He has open office on Wednesdays from 8 to 10.
