unfortunately, he has the speaking skills of a crazy man. I prefer Jesse Ventura as a liberterian candidate over Ron Paul anyday.
That said, i like Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney.

What do you think he's wrong about? Mike Huckabee increased taxes. Mitt Romney banned guns.

If you read ron pauls stances on certain issues, they sound wonderful.
but if you hear him talk, especially at the debates, he rarely can get through a statement without his voice volume raising and tending to sound a little crazy. I can't remember the exact statements I agree with, which isn't a very good excuse, but its mostly because his attitude turns me off.
Mitt Romney supported the Brady Bill, which instituted a 5 day waiting period for the sale of guns in Massachusetts, and he also supported the ban of some assault weapons. True, he's not the perfect candidate, but who is? Of course you could use that same justification to support Ron Paul.
Like I said, if Jesse Ventura would run with a platform similar to Pauls, I would probably support him.
Same with Huckabee. I couldn't find a totally neutral site about his fiscal actions, but its early yet, and I'm not fully supporting a candidate yet, so I haven't really done any super investigation. I just listen to them at the debates and decide who I like.
The next 6 months are going to be pretty interesting I think.

Depends on how ya define, perfect, I guess. My perfect candidate would be Alan Keyes, but he's not electable. In my book, that makes him less than perfect.

I'd like to think Ron Paul is crazy but really it's our national politicians who seem crazy and want to spend money we don't have in a foreign country that's not even worth in order to fight terrorism while we leave our mexican border open to illegal immigration where a terrorist could pass through.
Ron Paul has said that it would take a few months or so to get our troops out if Iraq. Iraq is really a mess if you look at the stories behind the war. Our allies our fighting each other and the people who were our enemies need us to protect them.
Other dumb things that the U.S. government does is paying for our food to be converted to gasoline (ethanol) which is very inefficient.
We also pay for farmers to grow unhealthy foods (Farm bill) so americans can get fat and obese and sick so then we can pay hundreds of billions of dollars to take care of them.

I do admit this guy does a better job of explainig some or Ron Paul's stances.
