Succinctly stated, with better class than myself, thank you.

In my neighborhood, when someone sells them self out such as she did, we call them a whore.
She was so unhappy with the mayor, she was trying to take his job from him. While doing so, she called him every name in the book including a slave owner.
After she lost the primary, she reportedly backed Walling. Something she now denies.
But now we see that she not only works for the mayor, SHE asked HIM for the job.
I'm sorry, but I'm calling it like I see it, she's a whore. So is Davenport. |

Your not a very good mole if you are posting under two ID's. Unless you are simply agreeing with rushmoore. Seems as if you are afraid to step out of the "herd mentality" pertaining to politics, all you are doing is calling people names, indicative of pessimism, narcisism, and egotism.
Why did she take a job? Why did she compromise her principles? Why did her actions usurp her opinion when she ran? Why did she get the job all of a sudden? Why did "Buck" want her on "his team"? Why did he welcome her with open arms?
Instead of playing the little school boy yard games of "yeah, that's right, what he said", get off of your posterior and quit acting like an arachnid crawled up an orifice of yours and figure out the problem. The time you spend kvetching about her actions is time you could be spending getting answers. WAKE UP!!!

Andi, your ignorance is only exceeded by your paranoia, when anyone disagrees with you, you assume that no one else could!
Amazing! Based on your logic you must be Edwards. |

Personally, I like snarky.
On the other hand....I have to agree with Rushmoore. While perhaps crude (if not snarky), I believe his statement to be factual. According to the American Heritage Dictionary:
whore (hôr, hōr) Pronunciation Key
n.
1. A prostitute.
2. A person considered sexually promiscuous.
3. A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain. |

<Snarky off, snarky off, snarky off>
While it is factual, yes I scoped it out also, <before my lame histrionic session filled with useless analogies> the connotation leaves a lot to be desired, considering the gender of the said person. Yes, my feminazi side is showing.
While terms of endearment need not to be thrown out with rose petals showering the air, for the said person, a different term could have been used........sigh.

Point well taken. I am the one who always says:
Whatever happened to the "civil" in civil discourse. |

"What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;"
I think you get the idea from what you have said. But Billy S just reinforces it. I honestly chose whore because it was the single most apt term for the situation. I know it was a bit of a lowering myself, but she chose that level of terminology in open debate and I wanted to make sure she understood it. You know, in the off chance that someone capable found it, printed it, and converted it to phonics for her. |

Whore is a somewhat sexist term. It can also mean slut. If you call some guys a whore they might take it as a compliment.
Disgraceful however should not be misconstrued. |

I'm not opposed to the use of the term "whore", although mildly crass, it appears as though it may be apropos in this case. |

"Tamara Edwards is the chief operating officer for a non-profit organization that helps start up new small businesses."
Too bad she couldn't start up her own small business. I would like to know what busineses she has helped start up. |

Adam Ford:
Kind of a weird sense of humor here but let's take a look at this:
1. She starts a small business.
2. Said business helps people start small businesses.
3. She did not start another small business to help her out after the run for mayor was unsucessful.
4. What happened to the first small business that helped people start small businesses.
5. What happened to the small businesses that the first small business person helped create?
Cyclical? Is this a merry go round waiting to stop? |
