76 individuals met the February 15th deadline of submitting their resumes to the Flint City Clerk’s office for the City of Flint’s Ombudsman’s position....
According to City Council President Darryl Buchanan the interview process will begin on Wednesday, February 22, and those scheduled for interviews will be contacted.

9. Leander (Tyrone) Croom- currently chair of Councils Task Force on crime. Works for local college.
13. Richard R Dicks- isn't he the fire chief??? Nuff said.
17. Adam Ford-
18- Shawn Fraim- President washington area crime watch, works for easter seals. very organizational, put together crime watch better than many that had been in existance for years. Has metal crime watch signs in place in her neighborhood. She gets things done!
32. Theorore Jankowski- (sp)? Ted, not happy with police.
34. Straverna Kelly- ran unsuccessfully for appointment to school board. Very knowledgable on legislature. Would like to see her resume, she is well connected.
40. Stephanie R Martin- she won the appointment to school board. Highly organized, college degrees and a smart lady.
41. Eric Mays- his name says it all.
Other names look familiar Milhouse was listed in the paper. Earl Proctor?

Whoops I screwed up. I forgot to update my resume. I live in Flint now. lol I'm a little shocked I didn't think there would be so many applicants for an office that might not exist. For the record I support the idea of an Ombudsman but I oppose it being in the charter so I will vote no and perhaps lobbly to get Terry Bankert back into the position. If I was the Ombudsman I would hope it wouldn't be needed at the end of my reign. Perhaps I should call the Clerk and correct my address.
By my name I would add
Adam Ford - Ombudsman candidate to put rules and proedures in place to some day eliminate the need for an Ombudsman. If this city was run effectively it would not need an Ombudsman to take care of its citizens and act as the 10th council person over the whole city!!! By the way I have been to a few meetings such as East Side Weed and seed, Arlington Heights crime Watch, School Board, City Council Eastside Business. I missed the Roundtable meeting again today though. Second time I've missed it. I also have a lot of customer service experience and technological experience.

How come you didn't apply? I'm a little disappointed. I think you would have been a good candidate with all those meetings you go to. You're practically a professional meeting goer.

Thank You, I think? I like to stay informed and more importantly put people in touch with like minded people. Build bridges where there once was siloism. There are many groups reaching for the same goals, if they consolidate resources the goals will be met. Not so much for today but for our children, the future of Flint.
I want nothing but the highest standards for Ombudsman. I do have a legal technician certificate but this falls way short of what is needed for this office. I would be happy to work for this office. My organizational skills are lacking, my office is a mess! I could be a liason for the community.
Nothing more.
