John Snell, Jr., D.V.M., was elected to his first term in office on the Mott Community College Board of Trustees in 1989. He was re-elected for a third six-year term on the board in 2001, and has served numerous positions on the board. Snell is a doctor of veterinary medicine and owned and operated the Eascor Animal Hospital in Flint for the past 20 years. Prior to this position, he was a member of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. Snell attended Michigan State University, where he earned his B.S. and D.V.M. degrees. He is active in numerous civic, service and professional organizations including the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association, the Humane Society of Genesee County, the Whaley Children’s Center, the Alumni Council for Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, LOVE Inc., and Flint Area Churches.
