FLINT - Mayor Don Williamson said on Thursday that he wants to meet with City Council members as soon as possible to avoid a slowdown in city business.

City Council members on Wednesday unanimously postponed action on almost all issues before them in protest of what they said was Williamson's refusal to pay some bills.

They said they would continue to postpone action on items that did not deal directly with the health, safety or well-being of the community until Williamson cooperated.

"I am willing to meet with you as soon as possible to resolve these issues to avoid interruption of city business," Williamson said in the memorandum to the City Council.

Williamson also said he had not seen the resolutions requesting payment and had not refused to pay any invoices.

The bills were mostly for expenses incurred during an investigative hearing on the Senate campaign of Patsy Lou Williamson, the mayor's wife. It was accused of inappropriately using city resources.

Jesus Christ people!................can't we just rid the city of this POX called Don Williamson and the City Council....................

Do you have any idea how much time, energy and resorces the battle b/w these two assinine entities costs the citizens of Flint.

Get the DON the f-ck out of town........and get the City Council the f-ck out of Flint.

Let's start over with some people who are truly vested in the future of this once great city.
