Also, the Don has received so many solutions to so many different problems in this city! Yet he refuses to even attempt to try. He comes up with his own plans, with no regard for the citizens of Flint. The bottom line for the Don is his pocket book! If not what he has in it today. What he has set himself up for, for tomorrow. I wish I would have kept my very first letters to prove what I’ve said! From back when he was first elected.

Now this Crime problem. These recommendations were given to him weeks ago. So far he has only half assed addressed the solutions. It’s real simple! Open the Jail, Hire a Chief. Those are the very first steps! 9.5 million in the Black. And we don’t have 1.5 million a year to run the Jail?

We would have paid for the last year had we not purchased Tahoe’s instead of Impalas. Had we purchased International garbage trucks instead of Peterbilts. Or had we settled the sewer lawsuits instead of trying to play hardball over a loosing case! We could have had the Jail open and money to spare.

Home Ownership! Another goal that the Mayor should be working toward. Instead of blowing the money on his cronies!

I think it was a dumb interview, and I think Ted's suggestions are also dumb. This guy must sit with the likes of Dayne Walling,Roscoe, Rayan Eashoo, Larry and John and talk about nothing at all.

Josh Freeman is the Puke on the Carpet!

Interesting. Didn't remember that...

Great questions to ask?

If in his 2006 State of the City Address he announced "major crime was reduced" why then was crime actually up 30 percent according the city's website? Or Why then did the police need restructuring if his good leadership and teamwork was resulting in "Major reductions in Crime" as he said?

When does he plan on fulfilling any of his campaign promises!

Oh and ask him about his first wife? Joan

Why does Marvin Riley owe him 180,000 dollars for building permits?

Why did the city pay 140,000 dollars to settle the lawsuit with the paperboy?

Why didn't we settle the sewer claims for less than half what they have been awarded?

Who is actually responsible for the police department? We don't have a chief? Who is in charge?

Why did he need 12 officers to go with him to the housing commission meeting?

Why did he pull three police cars off 911 calls to harass Eric Mays at Brennen Center for collecting signatures for the petition to have him recalled?

When is he going to open the City jail? Or is he going for the Woody Play and wait until just before the next election to finally decide to open it again so that crime will go down?

Why do some many of his and his wife's campaign workers have jobs at the City?

What happened to the guy that used to escort him when used have business meetings? The big guy with no neck?

Who is that guy that carries his chair for him at the Casino?

When did Mt. Morris become Flint?

Why did he throw out the plans for a casino in Flint and opt for his property in Mt. Morris?

If his campaign leased vehicles from Patsy's Dealership, why did they have dealer plates on them?

If he didn't use campaign workers to clean up the park for his wife’s campaign party, why did only people working on his election get the overtime to fix it up? Then follow up with, why did the city pay out a grievance to those who didn't work the overtime?

Why doesn't he respond to letters sent to his office?

When are the Community Policing officers going to actually be used for community policing?

Why did crime all of a sudden start going up as son as he took over as Chief, (I mean Mayor) when crime was following a ten year trend of declining an average of 10 percent every year for the last 10 years. When there was a notable drop in 2003 of15 percent when the Police actually had the fewest officers ever?

Why is TV 12 reporting a crack down on Crime for harassing churches putting on dances to get teenagers off the streets?

Why were all the tickets handed out at the birthday party at Club 810 thrown out of court? The ones you pulled officers off the streets and patrols to write all those tickets? When officers reported there weren’t any laws being broken!

Why when the civil Service commission determined that an employee that was improperly fired by him, and awarded 50,000.00 is he still fighting it? Civil Service Commission is about as impartial as it gets.

Very Good Questions to ask indeed, someone needs to ask the tough questions. I think Ryan should run for City Council. What ward is he in?

Karen, Good Observation. Not a bad idea.

This is what people consistently seem to miss.

This was the Mayor's Council!

He had almost everything he wanted.

He had the majority of the former council replaced!

Now.... They have seemingly turned against him also?

Could it be that they are only doing as the former council did. Looked at what he was doing. Seen the stupidity, abuse of power and lack of integrity, and are voting in the best interest of the citizens in their ward and not in the best interest of the Mayor's pocket book?

After all, you don't have to have t have a PHD to add up the costs and benefits of purchasing Impalas over Tahoes. Or, that There might be a problem with using City Employees, that work on his campaign, to work Overtime then pay off those that didn't work on the park. Or then there's the fact that Josh had been voting mostly in Favor of the Mayors proposals but all of a sudden became puck on the carpet over one or two issues.

I'd love to see how Ryan would respond to the treatment by this Mayor, if he was in their position. I believe his integrity would guide him in the same direction as this council is going. Hmmm Same direction the Former council was going. Rah Rah Rah for the mayor at the beginning. But, you can only go along with him for so long until it hits you! He's not working in the Citizens best interest! He is working in his own!

He needs to come to council meetings. not just listen to what they media says is happening.

Good interview. Ryan for school board? When is the Michael Moore interview going to be? If Poplar should resign than the whole council should resign for saying nothing when she explained what she was doing. The mayor is ignoring the city constitution. Should he resign?

I think Ryan mentioned a lot of good things in the interview. It kinda sounded like he was running for Mayor, but I did agree with him on a ton of topics. I think the idea about Flint Schools is right on, that does affect our community more than we realize.

I don't agree with him on Poplar doing anything illegal, I think she did a good thing for the poor Flint School kids. I think the laundry room guys should stick to certain topics, and work on them being in the frame of the camara.

1 Star, it was boring, lacked clarity, and you could barely hear Ryan talk.

Dont forget the mayor appointed 4 people to the historic council
to try and shut it down or at least make it in effective:

Steve Heddy, Jim Rutherford, Dale Soumela and Ryan Eashoo.

Did the mayor pay him off? Or promise to support his next campaign?
Or did the mayor just know Eashoo would bend which ever way the wind blows?????
