Author    Post   Steve Myers Site Admin East Cleveland -- Two former city administrators accuse Mayor Eric Brewer of trying to protect a friend who is suspected of taking bribes as a city code inspector. Hood, who is also an East Cleveland school board member, was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of taking bribes, but was released Thursday. A police supervisor said Thursday that the bribery accusations remain under investigation. Hood did not return calls for comment.
