The Daily Gazette learns warrant issued to arrest Flint pastor for allegedly assaulting minor child
FLINT — The Daily Gazette has learned that a warrant has been signed by Genesee County Circuit Court Judge David Quinn for the arrest of a prominent Flint pastor who operates a charter school and co-hosts a Saturday morning radio program on WFLT 1420 AM. Pastor Reginald Flynn is accused of assaulting a child.
The Flint Police Department made the warrant request after an investigation into the complaint by the minor child's mother. The alleged victim was a student at Eagles Nest Academy where Pastor Flynn is the Executive Director. The assault allegedly took place at Foss Avenue Baptist Church where he has been the pastor for many years.
The investigation came after community activist Arthur Woodson interviewed the child's mother for The Morning Gazette Radio Show. The interview came after a story about the incident was first published by Flint Beat.
The Morning Gazette Radio Show subsequently reported that numerous Flint Police Department officers were at Foss Avenue Baptist Church on the Sunday after Woodson's interview with the alleged victim's mother attracted thousands of views on his Facebook page. Pastor Flynn referred questions then about the matter to his attorney, former Genesee County Circuit Court Judge Archie Hayman. He said no comments would be made about the accusations. |

.I want to know why when the city tried to get me arrested for some BS fraud charges and the media didnt even have a copy of the complaint, they ran the news on that. I know it's not the journalist or reporters. I want to know why they havent ran a story on Reginald Flynn assault and battery charge? Why havent the city sent out a media advisory like they did on me. Some of you might think I'm wrong for this, but KARMA is something else. He spoke about that BS PPO the mayor tried to put on me. He spoke about the BS fraud charge for the recall on his radio show. See we are all different. You might not go after people attracting you, but I do. He allegedly jumped on
a 6 year old boy. He has been charged with this. |

Pastor Reginald Flynn of Foss Avenue Baptist Church faced a judge in Genesee County District Court Monday.
He was arraigned on charges stemming from an incident first reported to Flint police back in February.

FLINT (WJRT) (7/31/2018) - A prominent Flint pastor and co-founder of Eagle's Nest Academy was arrested Monday after an investigation into whether he assaulted a student.
The Rev. Reginald Flynn is facing one count of assault related to an incident reported in February. A mother told police he assaulted her young son, who attends Eagle's Nest.
Flynn has accepted a plea agreement, which will be finalized in Genesee County District Court next week.
Flynn remains active at the charter school and as senior pastor at Foss Avenue Baptist Church in Flint.
He also serves on the boards of the Uptown Reinvestment Corporation, Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce and North Flint Reinvestment Corporation.
Flynn also maintains business interests with his family-owned real estate company and as president of the board at Foss Avenue Federal Credit Union. |
