As a public service, we are providing a video of policies that have not worked in New York City and are not likely to work here in the City of Flint.

How can we end the abuse of stop-and-frisk practices? "It's simple," says New York City police officer Adhyl Polanco. "Don't stop the innocent people."

I have an idea. Pull the state police from Flint let them get back to the areas they came from and let Flint wing it on its own.

Let the money used for more State Police be used for more Flint Police officers. Or create a Metropolitan Police Department. Either way the new officers will be paid far less than the starting salary of the State Police.

The State Police have removed guns from the streets, but they have not been able to infiltrate the drug operations that impact all of Genesee county and not just Flint. The federal and local task forces did more to deal with the gangs than the State Police have so far. Fang is not large enough to do it all.

The courts have deemed the NYC stop & frisk policy unconstitutional. The Manley Firm remains committed to the protection of the constitutional rights of all Americans. Any temporary reduction in reported crime does not trump the timeless protection of our U.S. Constitution.

History has taught us that the ends justifying the means rarely if ever works as sound law enforcement policy. The idea of allowing a rogue element of the Michigan State Police or any police agency to run rampant creates a disrespect for the law. This lack of respect is not good for anyone. In addition, police misconduct, if not confronted, inevitably extends to other areas of our community. The irony being that those who cheered the loudest for policing by any means also protest the loudest if they feel their rights have been abused. The simple and correct solution is to respect everyone's constitutional rights or be able to accept that the next violation of rights could be yours.

The Manley firm used these links on M-live and they worked then. Cut & paste not
altered.
