When Jason Birge of 818 E Seventh Street lost his condemnation case to the city, the house was boarded up,
Only there are dogs in the house, as many as eight, and now the city refuses to act. City inspectors claim that animal control refuses to respond and they will not act. Meanwhile the dogs are barking and crying as the city waits for them to die.

The City and Jesse Buchanan have refused to address the issue with this home. The owner had boarded one door so it only appeared the door was boarded. Birge met with the Humane Society and while he did not allow them entrance, he assured them they were being cared for.
Birge was caught by the building inspections department removing the dogs for a walk. But since the home is condemned, even the dogs are not allowed inside. The city no longer accepts phone calls from residents regarding this issue. |

If Birge does not pay the taxes, then the three years are up and I believe this becomes the Land Bank's problem.
As cold as it was recently, the female had another litter of puppies. Is the basement even clean of dog feces? |
