Has the city always had a $500.00 fee for responding to a structure fire? Or, a $565.00 fee to extricate someone from a wrecked vehicle.
From looking at the new list, it appears that a lot of the city fees have been increased.

Did you see the $300 fee if you want a copy of the ordinances you are supposed to follow. |

Adam- I upgraded all fees in the transportation dept. when I served as its director. The fees had not kept up with inflation and i felt that we were not taking in enouph to cover cost. Some fees that had no current or recent past use were eliminated. The rental inspection law was re enforced and the entire dept. would not take any money from the general fund within two years. that did not include the pension fund because finance dept charged each dept with a city wide average rather than for the number of actual employees in each dept. Walling and Brown have under staffed this inspection dept causing rentals to go uninspected and a drain on the general fund. |
