Public Develpment is a nonprofit organization whose aim is to engage citizens with community issues, ideas, concerns, people, technology & solutions through increased utilization & creation of community media. Public Development supports all local community media outlets & encourages greater citizen participation in each. Public Development's current concentration is greater participation and greater program diversity on local Public Access Channel 17 – with special focus on broadcast products that fully and accurately reflect the people, organizations, events, ideas & ongoing efforts to bring positive change to this entire community. Stronger Community through Stronger Community Media. Public Development will meet every Thursday @ 6pm @ Flint Local 432 (124 W. First Street, Flint). The first meeting is this Thursday, December 14. Come voice your opinion about the role this organization, and community media in general, can play in the greater effort to bring lasting positive change to our entire community.
