| On our way to Tom Z's for dinner - great coneys! - we drove by Ballenger Park about 4:45 & saw some event going on there - a pretty good crowd. Just heard on the scanner there were 2 people shot there. Taken to Hurley by private car, which then sped away. The park is emptying fast. |

Interesting that there's no coverage yet on channels 5 or 12, or the Journal.
Also, big fight - twice - at Dayton & Chevrolet. 40 people, guns seen, but no shots. |

| That's the problem. They're such bad shots the innocent get hit way more than the intended target. I know of a bad guy that tried out his new pistol by shooting in the back yard. He hit the yard, so he thinks he's good to go. True story. |

FLINT, Michigan — A woman told police her car was sideswiped while she was trying to flee gunfire at Flint's Ballenger Park at about 4 p.m. June 18, according to police reports.
The woman told police she was at the park, located at Dupont Street and Flushing Road, for a children's event when she heard shots fired.
She told police many people were running to their vehicles when her 2000 Chevrolet Impala was sideswiped by an unknown vehicle, according to police.
The vehicle's front driver's side door was damaged in the incident. |

There are also scanner apps for iPhone and Droid. I have one called PoliceStream installed on mine. Works pretty well, too. |

I have an unlimited data plan through T-Mobile, so I wouldn't know. I don't think pre-paid phones offer anything like that. I don't think they're even
capable
of doing that sort of thing.
All I know is with my phone, I just set it to stream the Flint frequencies, and it does until I turn off the app. |
