Here is one I have been trying to figure out. My union president (COF Local 1600-Sam Muma) is driving around a city owned vehicle that is assigned to the Flint Police Department Special Operations Division. He puts the city gas in it and takes it home to Blueberry Lane every day. His wife Gina drives it as do Sam's friends.

Why does he need a city car?

Why does he get to take it home?

Why does Sam make $35 per hour?

Why does he work 10-3 but get paid for 8 hours of work?

I work at the 12th street garage so my information is factual. It bothers me but what can I do when nobody else seems to care?

**His wife Gina drives it as do Sam's friends.***
Big time wrong, even the insurance company that the city has states it I am sure....oy.

****Why does he need a city car? ***
No one NEEDS a city car...may want one, yes, need? No.

***Why does he get to take it home?****
If he works for a PD, some of Officers are allowed to take cars home if they are on call. If he doesn't work for the PD, then there's some "'splainin' to do Lucy."

***Why does Sam make $35 per hour?**
Hell, why does anyone make 35 USD per hour? Smile

***Why does he work 10-3 but get paid for 8 hours of work?***
Problems with telling time? I make paper plate clocks and draw the numbers in to help instruct my children the concept of time....hmmm.

***It bothers me but what can I do when nobody else seems to care?****
Make a video of them and post it on youtube eventually someone will find it. Wink

Big, You are asking the wrong people the questions, and I suggest
that you use the FOIA to find the true answers to your questions.
andi03, your reply makes plenty of sense to me, due to the fact that
not all the facts is known by BMC, and BMC should find out facts before
talking about something that he overheard someone say.

Some law enforcement agencies that are unionized do use the
union to make deals for them, and BMC maybe the Police force and
the union have some kind of deal going. So BMC if you have over 90
days its your rights to ask these questions without trying to place the
blame on a innocent person because you don't like them.

" Good Luck "

BMC is right on. Sam Muma has nothing to do with the police department. He has the car because he has stroked the mayor and conned AFSCME into endorsing him in the last election. Everyone at the city who is willing to sell out their co-workers and kiss Don's ring has perks such as this. The underserved perks are running rampant at the police department as well. That is how an officer with a tarnished reputation and brains of a shoelace can become chief(Dicks). Now this pillar of society has been indicted by the Feds for bilking the federal government out of thousands of dollars. Don Williamson is a crook who runs the city like the mafia. As long as you protect "The Don" you will be taken care of, if you don't.....watch your back!

Why do Citizens seem to ignore that facts of Favortisim amoung
your elected officials? The bottomline is who contributed the most
to a campaign, and those are the ones who is placed into the
political cliques. Government rules are broken 24/7 all year around,
and until the voters take action things will remain the same.

Anyone who runs a City differently then the City Charter states are
in violation of the Charter, and Citizens have the rights to do some-
thing about this kind of behavior. I call it playing games with the
citizens, and its a game because Citizens allow the game to be
played.

So I think instead of bitching about the misuse or abuse of our
tax paying dollars. We should let our voices be heard or keep our
mouths shut.

ManinthePinStripeSuit, our voices will be heard on February 24th. The citizens of Flint will oust the scurrilous dictator and regain control of our city. All of the political hacks will be ousted as well and we can begin to restore the luster our city once possessed.

P.S. Bitching is a right afforded all citizens of our great nation under the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution.

This is not unique to any one person. It's gone on for a long time everywhere, from Flint to Lansing to Washington DC.

Dear Mr Bossman. Your post was good to read, and I do wish the
Parents & Students there in Flint "Good Luck"

Also Dave sure it goes from Flint to Washington D.C, but right
now lets focus on the Flint School District, However One person
can start the wheels turning there in Flint, and remember all
roads do lead to Washington. Reorganizing the School District
is the first step. Secondly clear all of the old cobwells from the
School System, and place new motivating Administrative & new
Teachers. But the main goal should be create a plan that would
draw Students & Parents by offering something that would be
an Attraction to the citizens in the District, and once the School
enrollment headcount begin to rise the funds to do things
will start to flow back into the District.

Currently, I am Vice Chairman on a Committee called SAVE OUR
SCHOOLS, and this is one of the ideas that I placed on the table.
