The question was directed at Dave. I am unable to watch you-tube videos where I am, Two Tap. If the Man Show did a skit with that routine, they stole it from Penn and Teller. Regardless, my question still stands. |

Dave, who are the members of the "political establishment" that you speak of?
I think that there were about 6 people on the steering committee, none of which were 'political establishment' folks.... No one from the Democratic Party, no one from Dayne Wallings group... no one from the Kildee group.... no one from the Stanley crowd.... just regular folks....
So again, who are you talking about Dave? |

Dave seems to think the "shadow government" or the "Illuminati" are behind the recall, when it is actually just those of us in Flint who know the Con is absolutely useless as mayor.
I think Lakewoman is a funny person, they seem to think that anyone with a sound mind would back Walling, Stanley or Williamson. |

Since I no longer reside in the Flint area I really don't have a dog in the fight so to speak. Just wondering if the recall is successful who's in line to be the Dons successor? |

Well twotap, I am sure the Con will do one of two things, pick some weasel like Durryl to back, or just move out of town. Now that the mayors office is no longer a unpaid position maybe Flint will get lucky and attract some real talent to be mayor. As long as it is not a puppet for the Con or Kincaid, it will be better than what we have now.
I think of all the people in this area that are skilled enough and talented enough to do it and think it is a real shame that all we have had was a faxed in run against Williamson in 2003, and Failing in 2007.
Considering the only person with something bad to say about her is the Con, maybe Kay Kelly should run. |

Did you see that Mayor Williamson laid off forestry employees from the city Parks Department while paying County Commissioner Miles Gadola (the new Kearsley Park Project Director, who admitted that he knew nothing about parks) out of city park funds.
Williamson claimed that he'd pay Gadola out of his own pocket but, as usual, he used tax money. Kay Kelly, who Williamson fired as Kearsley Park Project Director, was paid with a grant from the Ruth Mott Foundation and didn’t cost the taxpayers anything. Williamson fired Kelly and lost the grant but is now paying another incompetent while laying off city workers. |

There is no way that Uncle Don will be booted from office. The Williamson Machine is to big of a power to be recalled in this city. He has a ton of support from all 9 wards. If he is recalled Alex Harris & Co. can shave my head when the results come in. I am so confident in it, that I will let him shave my head.
