If you want to vote in this historic election, you must be registered by October 6th. In order to vote in Michigan, you must be 18 years old, a US citizen and you must live in the area in which you want to vote.
It is easy to register and even easier to vote, so why would you want to miss your chance in such an important election?
You an register by going to one of the websites listed below or by going to your local Secretary of State, Departent of Human Services, or city/county clerks office.
If you need more information on voting rules, voter rights, absentee ballots or you need to find your polling location, visit http://michigan. gov/vote to find it.

LWV will work with DHS to register voters during the next week.
At all local offices, McCree, Pierson and Union St.
see www.mi.gov/vote or www.mi.gov/sos to view your individual ballot.
Visit www.lwvflintarea.org for links.
See the Oct. 27th publication of the Flint Journal to see the non-partisan LWV MI and local voters guide.
Send in the survey and tell them if you found it useful or not.
VOTE the ENTIRE Ballot!!! MI Supreme Court or other ballot issues will not be covered by voting a straight party ticket.
Polls will be busy- try to vote during off hours when lines will be shorter.
10 am- 11:30 am or 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Otherwise prepare for 20 min. to an hour wait to vote.
Even if the line is long, do not leave without voting.
Many times throughout history one vote made a difference.
Your vote counts!
Bring an ID..but if you do not have one with you..
You can still vote a regular ballot by signing an affidavit.
it is on the back of your sign in card.
if you have a prior felony conviction- you can still vote.
if your house is being foreclosed- you can still vote.

Do not be disenfranchised.
do not accept a provisional ballot- it will be thrown in the trash.
Look up your ballot, get informed on everything that will be on it.
