Topic: Were you "health guarded" as a kid in Flint School

What did it mean if you were "health guarded" as a child in the Flint schools? Someone gave me a pin that says "1940 Flint Child Health Guarded" was that some kind of public health care program? If so, what did it entail?

Thanks 00sl2. I never knew exactly what it meant either but I have a certificate from Capenter road elementary school from 1968 saying that I was health guarded.
