Does anyone else remember this show? It was always my favorite getting ready for school!

Also, I seem to recall an episode where there was a bad snow storm, and John McMurry came in whereing snow shoes.

So, did my mom put something in my oatmeal, or did this show really happen?

The Bozo show really did happen Rusty. It was recorded right there in the channel 12 studio. I remember at one time, it was live and came on in the afternoon after school got out. When the moved it to mornings, Cartoon carnival was also on around that time.

John McMurry, Hard to believe he's still at channel 12 doing the weather. He came to my 2nd grade class with a weather balloon (almost 40 years ago). That was the one our teacher got the most rambunctious student to stay in his seat all day. John tied the weather balloon on the back of his chair and the and the teacher told him it would take off through the ceilng if he got up.

Of course I remember Bozo! I don't know what channel he was on but he used to say "It's a lollapalooza" and he did a kind of shuffle dance. He was at the Fort Saginaw Mall for a turtle race and he touched my nose and called me cutie. My turtle won me tickets to The Jungle Book and Herbie the Love Bug. What fun!

My Cub Scout Pack went to see Bozo being broadcast...they picked me to hula hoop on air at the end of the show (with about 20 other kids). Then they told me they'd picked too many kids and made me sit back down. I'm still scarred!

The late, great Frank Cady aka Mr. Magic and Bozo the Clown. Here's a rare picture in his Mr. Magic role: http://p223.ezboard.com/Rare-pic-of-Frank-quotMr-Magicquot-Cady-on-WJRT-in-Flin/fvintagedetroittvandmovieboardfrm8.showMessage?topicID=153.topic

The old Bozo suit was on display at the Sloan Museum when they had the broadcasting in Flint exhibit a few years ago.

I remember Bozo having really bad breath the one time I was on the show. But man, the wonder bread was tasty!

How about Ed Phelps hosting Bowling for Dollars back in the 70's.
