The Democratic Party never lost control. Flint is consistently over 60% Democrat as seen in the last 4 election cycles. The percentage has gone down about 2% in the last couple of election cycles. Coming from a Republican like yourself, I now understand why you support Williamson.

The problem is that Don is still overtly breaking the law. His time in prison does not seem to have taught him not to break the law as he discriminates against unions, minorities, women, and dresses his car up as a police cruiser. He even parks his campaign vehicles in front of fire hydrants in downtown Flint. His time in prison demonstrates he participated in organized crime and reveals his character.

In the prior post, I listed 16 facts. There was no analysis or judgment attached. You only criticized my previous post based on two of those facts. What about the rest. Thanks for agreeing with me. There are over a dozen reasons that you had no response to. That's a dozen different reasons to not vote for Williamson.

And look where being consistently Dem has got us.
Here; I'll save you the trouble..... it's Engler's fault, it's Bush's fault, it's everyone's fault except the Dems because we're perfect & anyone that doesn't agree is an idiot. My "facts" are reasoned, without any judgment; yours are garbage propaganda. Typical whiney lib bullshit.

Where are you getting your numbers? I thought the dems were almost always over 70% if not 80% in Flint?

You're right. I am such a tool for whining about high unemployment, high crime rates, corruption, racial discrimination, sexual discrimination, and cronyism. I have no right to worry about those things. Everything is perfect under Williamson.

Look, I didn't say the Dems were perfect. But this election is about another 4 years of the status quo.

You jump to conclusions that because Walling's a Democrat he is instantly bad news for Flint. You refuse to state any facts. If you would ever state your facts maybe they would be well reasoned. How do I know?

I stated 16 facts. They weren't even opinions. They were strictly factual. Give them another look. Can't you tell the difference?

Over a dozen of those facts you cannot refute. So either you think those facts are good reasons to vote for Williamson or you are just trying to ignore them. Ignoring the truth is not very reasonable and it forces you into using political rhetoric like,

"I see him as part of the Party establishment, who has their panties all in a wad because an "outsider" is Mayor. They're the same ones that spout their canned platitudes at campaign time and forget them after the election. The ones obsessed with "power" and pushing their own, and the Party's agendas."

Where do you get that? That's your opinion. However, you haven't been able to question my 16 factual statements. You are the epitome of garbage propaganda.

Your statements aren't all fact. There's a lot of opinions there.
Don laid off police officers? When? How many?
Didn't spend grant money? I believe it's the Council's responsibility to do that.
Racial & sexual discrimination? Details, please, Name, dates, etc.
Didn't get the union's permission to create the inspectors position? I didn't know it was required.
Donated to Bush's campaign? How does that disqualify him from being Mayor of Flint?

Since Flint is primarily Dimocrat, I beat up on them. Actually, I have no use for party politics at all; it disgusts me. Both parties are primarily concerned with power, and pushing their own agendas. If something actually helps the ordinary people, it's by accident. Look at the mess in Washington; Bush's approval rating's in the dumpster, and the Dem majority congress has an even lower rating. I have never voted for a party; I always vote for the person I feel is the best for the job.

I don't want to get into the whole dems are poopy debate going on here. But I have to take issue with one comment you made.... about what the Council's responsiblities are.... The fact is that the Council does not have the responsiblity of actually spending the money... they allocate dollars... it is up to the Administration to spend it. Don't blame the Council for something that they have no control over. The Council was continually asking the Mayor to spend the money so that we wouldn't lose it. He didn't. HE lost it.

Big Don Williamson a Republican that supported J FFFFing Kerry and the Breck girl. That would be a Rino. If Flint had been fortunate enough in the past to be run by some real Republicans ill bet it would not be in the dismal shape it is now in. 40 years of lib dem rule will destroy any city.

I just posted in a new thread about council delaying applications for $14 million in grants to the point of where we nearly lost out. Now where's the published story about the Mayor not spending which grant money? Thanks.

Howdy Bigkfly:

Just a note about forum etiquette, you are to supply a source if someone asks for it, and it is construed as common courtesy to back up your statement.

We don't want to be referenced to another blog, and wade through more opinions, we want links to the sources that you are citing, the click count goes way up and if you want to make a point, do it in one forum message rather than citing your blog.

You may be 23 but I have been on the Internet since you were 9...... Shocked Very Happy

Gawd, does that mean I am old?

Andi,

I've been talking back and forth with these pro-Williamson people all week. They have not presented anything to back up a word they say and they make accusations left and right. I've been asking for sources all week.

I've provided my sources at the address I posted. When I get some time because I actually am busy, I will post them here on the forum hopefully over the weekend. In my response to OOSL2, I listed some my sources. I even linked a web address to an ABC12 news story. I have backed my claims up more than anyone else on this forum so don't start attacking me for "etiquette."

If you are going to vote read the paper and do some research. I'm not about ready to waste my life being your encyclopedia. I understand the importance of backing up your claims, but I have achieved that end.
