Lucky’s Steakhouse Plans Davison Reopening After Health Department Closure
Lucky’s Steakhouse says it is working toward reopening its Davison location after being ordered to temporarily close following a failed inspection by the Genesee County Health Department, which cited multiple sanitation and food safety violations including repeat issues dating back to 2024, while the restaurant says it is using the closure to clean, revamp the kitchen, correct all six violations, and restore customer trust before reopening.
Lucky’s addressed the closure publicly on Facebook, acknowledged the violations, and said management is focused on fixing the problems rather than disputing them. The restaurant says the goal is not just to reopen but to operate better going forward. Anyone who wants to read Lucky’s full statement can find it on the restaurant’s official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LuckysSteakhouseOfficial.
The Davison location has been part of the community for nearly 30 years and says it plans to return with its familiar menu staples like large steaks, generous portions, low prices, and homemade bread, with possible new menu items added later.
There is no official reopening date yet, but the restaurant says it hopes to welcome customers back soon and continue serving the Davison area.
Will customers give Lucky’s Steakhouse another chance when it reopens?
