Michael Jackson the self proclaimed king of pop is dead. Most would agree that this man was the most talented person that the world has yet seen.

But for the last 2 weeks main stream radio/tv and newsprint has been focused non stop on this talented alleged pedophile, "sexual attraction towards children" least we forget that he paid a child of 13 years of age and the child's family over $20 million dollars a few years ago as a bribe to make alleged assault charges go away. The public will probably never know the full extent of what really happened to this young boy because the court files are sealed. Leaks from California law enforcement/court officials seem to substantiate Jackson's involvement in the child's molestation.

The point I'm trying to make. Did international stardom and wealth make Michael Jackson above the law and societies code "news media" on moral and morality less relevant?

I think a lot of the so-called international stars think they're above the law.

A blind man could see that our country has lost it's moral compass. The mind set of the '60s of "hey, if it feels good do it" and "get it while you can" has distroyed the basic family structure and with that distruction has come a loss of right and wrong and no accountability.

I have been accused of being a republican by some of the members of this board but I am a traditionalist with conservative leanings.

Bottom line is that until we bring a sense of responsibility back we are doomed to repeat the past.
