America is being destroyed from within. Our so-called elected leaders both democrats and republicans have joined forces with the lobbyists and the one percent of america's wealthy. America has mortgaged its soul to china, india and japan too the tune of trillions of dollars with no end in sight. If the present system of government is not changed, challenged, america will become just another third world country. Already the middle class and poor are losing there homes, cars, jobs and depleting their retirement and savings accounts in record numbers. Millions are and millions more will be standing in soup lines and holding cardboard signs asking for food and shelter. Let's stop listening to the b''s'' that constantly pour out of politicians mouths, they don't care. They and their families will have lifetime retirement and medical accounts. Let's impeach the president, and vice-president and all members of congress. The same must apply to the present elected city hall officials of flint, michigan. They are all guilty of misconduct in office. Whats your opinion?

I'm a very strong supporter of Congressman Ron Paul. I think at least he should be allowed to stay.
Most Republicans in the Michigan legislature fought against taking even more from Michigan's families. They should be allowed to stay.
Why aren't you running for office?

Perhaps in the future I Just might run for elective office. I'm so frustrated with the present politicians in Flint and the nations capitol. It seems more than a few (majority)politicians are in the pockets of big business and special interest groups. When that occurs its hard for the honest politician (that has the people's agenda's at heart) to get his or her bills heard or passed, as their always fighting an uphill battle. We're presently in a state of depression with high oil prices, job losses, unemployment, unfair trade agreements, hunger, homelessness, crime, and a lost war in the middle east that has caused the needless loss of thousands of lives. But it seems all anybody wants to do is talk. We need positive actions on all fronts. America needn't worry about being destroyed by so-called extremists, fearmongering or boogy men. It's presently destroying (empoisoning) itself from within. If I did run for office and was fortunate to be elected. I would never take Pac dollars or other special interest monies. Because when you do, then your owned by other people. We need honest people in office that respect the word integrity. Are you running for any office?

As long as people like you continue to whine and complain on the sidelines things will only get worse. It appears these may be the boom times. I expect things to rapidly deteriorate over the next four years.

When you have Republicans favoring global military domination coming together with democrats who want maximum welfare you have a recipe for disaster. We are heading for disaster.

I won't dignify your last post about someone whining and crying. What have you done lately? The real question is what are you doing to benefit mankind. Better yet what are you doing or what have you done to make Flint a better place in which to live, work and raise a family?
My objective in these posts is to bring issues to the forefront and let people express their thoughts in a rational manner. It's people like you that sit on the sidelines and take advantage of the marginalized. Websters dictionary describes this as a person (that transfers someone away from the center of affairs in order to render them powerless) That seems to fit you. You must be a Republican Mr. Ford? In My Opinion Mr. Ford you also seem to be someone thats also a misguided bully.

What have YOU done, other than "bring issues to the forefront and let people express their thoughts in a rational manner." ?

I'm running for Michigan State Representatives in Flint. Among various things I've tried to get anti-business ordinances repealed in Flint but to no avail. I am a pretty aggresive politician (possibly the most conservative and aggresive in the state) and am always on the hunt for political talent. If you want to define that as a bully so be it. I will probably not be as gentle about trying to get you on the ballot as I will attempting to bash the political head in of another one of Flint's liberal democrats I will likely face. If I was elected I would probably try and "bully" Flint's school board into putting more money into the classrooms and "bully" the city council into repealing some fascist job killing ordinances and "bully" Kildee into supporting the Constitution in addiion to "terrorizing" any politicians in Lansing who oppose lowering taxes particularly the income tax.

Fortunately for the liberals my odds are probably around 1:1,000,000.

I assume you are another one of Flint's liberal democrats who just want everyone to "come together" and "work together" and "find solutions". The solutions we need are not found in more beaurocratic government they are found with less restrictive and opressive government.

You left out "toe the county Democratic Party establishment's line, or else".

Adam, several months ago you indicated that you would be running for one of the Flint Board of Education vacancies. I'm curious why you chose to enter the State Rep race instead. You admit that you have a 1 in a million shot at winning the post. Wouldn't your odds have been better with FBE? Education seems to be one of your major issues. Your bully powers would be more effective from the board than from the State House.

Mr. Ford you assumed wrong I'm neither a democrat, liberal, republican, green party nor any other party member. I'm an independent thinker and an American. I vote for whoever has the interests of all the people. And as an American I believe in coming together, working together and finding solutions. A great example of "Not" finding solutions is your president george (the bully) bush with his bullying and lies to the american public and the world. This example has cost the lives of thousands of brave soldiers. It has also cost the lives of millions of men, women and children in Iraq, Afganistan. These lies, bullying and refusal to come together, work together and find solutions has cost the United States its proud standing around the world, not to mention $ trillions of tax payer dollars gone down the tube in an unwinable war. America is in a depression, worse than the 1929 stock market crash all as a direct result of "not working together, coming together and finding solutions. In the dawn of the 21st century we must remove our stone age way of doing things. We must positively change our way of thinking or our world as we know it is doomed. Ronald Barry Robinson

You make a good point. I thought there would be some quality opposing candidates for the school board race. Obviously I was wrong about that. I also didn't realize you could run for both races in the same year. The FBE odds would probably be at least 10 or 100 times better although that race could get nasty. My understanding is Tracy Fountain is not having a very "pleasant" experience on the board. I'm surprised the entrenched powers let her run unopposed. She has to run again next year. It's hard to say where I could be more effective though. I think Democrats would have to take me pretty seriously but this is probably one of the safest liberal Democrat districts in the state.

You fail to mention about how Democrats "came together" with Bush to support the war. Democrats are still "coming together" with Bush to keep the war going.

Bush is technically our president. I have no qualms about voting for him the first time and the second time both him and Kerry were very similar although Bush is slightly pro-life. I have no intentions of voting for McCain though. I do agree with the Republicans who want to drill for our own oil but are blocked by liberal Democrats. A lot of Democrats did vote for the war but I am a Ron Paul Republican. Ron Paul did not vote for the war.

Democrats and Republicans have "come together" and are "woring together" to bankrupt this country.

Michigan "Republican" Govornor Romney "came together" with the democratic controlled legislature and passed the stupid income tax.

Two "Republicans" in the Senate broke party lines and crossed over two pass more oppresive taxes on Michigan's hard working families.

You sound like a tried and true liberal if you think more and new government programs/coming together is what we need. I think we should kill the income tax and slash the government while we wait for liberal democrats and liberal Republicans to come up with a realistic plan that has a snowballs chance of working.

I'm cautiously optomistic that if Obama wins Republicans in the senate will not come together with him and fillibuster his socialist programs.

Since you apparently have no solutions to our problems perhaps you could suport me while we wait for our elected officials to come up with solutions because I would fight to not steal your money so you could be better able to fund your own solutions while we wait on the beaurocrats in Lansing and Washington to "come together" and "find solutions".

Bunch of horse race politicking – or archaic ideas borrowed from horse race losers. "Join The Ron Paul ReVOLVOution of 1838 and Get your mind boggled!" And honestly, Newt?!

Better stick the ol' "Don't act. Re-act" approach, Adam. Isn't that your m.o.? Somebody suggests a new idea or approach > you (via some Republican hero, has-been, or father figure) call it big government socialism > wait for somebody else to pose a solution > repeat.

I know limited government is an "archaic idea" but I think we need to get back to our roots.
