great show.

watching it though, makes one even more depressed regarding the Flint Fool/School system.

There is no hope if the people in charge, the board, condone and support the flim flam con-man superintendent who obfuscates, prevaricates [two words I'm sure the average FCS board member wouldn't recognize if they came up and dope-slapped them upside their over ripe melons] and refuses to follow state law and school system policy.

And without a reasonable school system, Flint will be brought down over time, as we produce fewer and fewer people who can compete in this increasingly complex and interconnected world. 21st C, hell the people around here could barely compete in the 20 th century the way things are going.

too sad.

Hi Larry,

I haven't checked it out yet.

sounds like a great concept, to provide structured learning, free on line.

of course, since there isn't any formal registration, grading etc, I don't think one can add it to their resume that they studied at MIT, or took 160 credits worth of material at MIT.

Still, in a general sense, it should improve knowledge and understanding of those who decide to seriously to study something that is offered.

will check it out soon.

wow.

Larry it sounds like you approaching this very seriously.

BTW, history is one of my hobbies. What period of history is it?

And BTW, that is one thing with classes/professors, the books they assign.

Sometimes they are the professor's own [that is the way they advance in their field, by publishing papers/books/monographs etc.]...and there are so many publications/texts et al out there, it can be a source of frustration when they require some really arcane, not readily available book as part of the curriculum. its all part of the system, get the student to put out the big $$...sometimes we're talking $80-100 for a book, that next semester won't be required [so the student can't resell it].

It's a part of the "system" that I think is shameful.

let me know if you need someone to proctor your tests LOL.
