BREAKING NEWS that Snyder, Mayor Karen Weaver and Aoni Gilcreast DON'T want those living in Flint and who are State of Michigan residents and tax payers to know

I received some disturbing news today. It has been confirmed that Mayor Karen Weaver along with Governor Snyder want the Flint City Counsel to agree to the hiring of Aoni "Gil" Gilcreast, the former owner of the Hollywood East, on a professional contract @ a salary of $120,000 per year of tax payers money to be an advisor to the Mayor. Since the inception of Weaver becoming the Mayor, she has allowed "Gil " who she says is a volunteer, to have unprecedented authority. Clearly, Gil has strong armed Weaver and taken control. Every one know that it is Gil that call the shots and not Weaver. Gil says who can get hired and who he want fired. Gil recently hired his niece as a attorney for the City of Flint and pushed for the firing of Flint's City Attorney Stacy Oates. Anyone who want to do contractual business with the city must go through Gil. Department heads and other city employes must consult with Gil on certain business matters. He travel with Weaver to certain meetings with the Governor and other meetings concerning city business. He sits at the table and call the shots not Weaver. Gil determine who can be recommended to sit on certain boards. Gil reports to the city working out of Weaver's office daily. He literally runs the day to day operation. Gil is the one that told Weaver to give a $17MM dollar contract to RUZZIO, a contract that Woodrow Stanley was in a position to get up to 10 % in consulting fees. Gil decides who Weaver can and can not meet with and what she can and can not say to the media. Inevitably, no where in this country does a volunteer have the level of authority that Weaver has allowed Gil to have. There is No doubt that Gil and Weaver are in the bed with Snyder and they have obviously agreed to not go against Snyder and in return Snyder wants to force the City Council to hire Gil @ $120, 000 dollars a year to be the Mayor's advisor. Snyder even said that the State will pay his salary if the City Council will agree to the hiring of Gil. I don't care if the money comes from the state or from Flint it's still tax payers money. Gil has zero municipal experience and lack understanding of how municipal government work and lacks precessional decorum. Gil has never held a real job for longer than a year. He has never operated a successful business, and is perceived as a slum landlord. I said when Weaver was running that if elected that Gil would be the mayor through Weaver. And I unfortunately was right. This move to hire Gill @ $120,000 a year a salary that is higher than the Mayor's salary is another slap in the face of the people by Weaver and Snyder. Weaver has a city administrator, chief of staff a Public Relation person and now she and the Governor want to hire Gil as her Advisor, what a joke. Who are they going to want to hire next, AC Dumas and Woodrow Stanley. What The City Council should be doing is forcing Weaver to keep Gil in the scope by which a volunteer can operate to prevent possible litigation due to Gil's handling of and interference with city business. And if Weaver fail to do so the council should push for a removal of Weaver as Mayor. The people voted for Weaver to be 'Mayor not Gil. If Gil want to be the Mayor than he should become a Flint resident and run to be Mayor. This post is not seeking likes or comments. This post is just KEEPING IT REAL with the people who will have to pay Gil's salary. The fact that the Governor has agreed to use state tax dollars that include my tax dollars and I am not in agreement of using any of my tax dollars to pay one dime towards paying Gil's $120,000 yearly salary. The truth of the matter is that Weaver has become more concerned about pleasing Gil than fighting for the best interest of those who voted her in office. In true reality Gil has successfully used his street slickness to sweep Weaver off her feet and manipulate her mind to his advantage and at the expense of the tax payers. All tax payers in Flint and State tax payers should be OUTRAGED about the possibly of their (our) tax dollars being pimped by Gil. So what Weaver has done is stepped back and opened the door for Gil to be the Mayor. I am not at all surprise because I knew that this was apart of the plot from the beginning of her campaign. Gil walked in on day one being the Mayor. And he will be the Mayor for as long as Weaver is Mayor. In reality Weaver and Gil has successful BAMBOOZLED the people. WOW how devastating. This kind of stuff happens because we the people sit back and keep our mouths shut. That's the reason Trump is the President and Gil has taken over the City of Flint. When will we ever learn?

This ones for you Numero 407!

United States Disrict Court
Easternn District of Michigan
Southern Division

United States of America vs $57,922.00
Civil No. 91-cv-73819 DT
Judge Horace W. Gilmore

Verified Claim of interest in $57,922.00 UNited States Currency
"I, Aonie Gilcreast, have and do hereby claim an ownership in $57, 922.00 U.S. Currency which constitutes the subject matter of United States v $57,922.00 U.S. Currency, Civil No. 91-cv-73819-DT now pending in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan."
dated and signed August 9, 1991.

Complaint for forfeiture
5) There is probable cause to believe that the defendant currency was the proceeds of an illegal gambling operation which violated laws of the State of Michigan, to wit: MCL 750.301and/302; that this illegal gambling operation involved five or more persons who conducted, financed, managed, supervised, directed, or owned all or part of such business; and said illegal gambling had been in substantially continuous operation for a period in excess of thirty days or had gross revenue of $2,000 in any single day. in violation of Title 18, USC 1955. The facts supporting this probable cause determination include, but are not limited to the following:

a) On July 23, 1987, an FBI informant (FBI-1) told Special Agent Robert D. Coffin that Aonie Gilcrest ran a numbers gambling business in the Flint area. FBI-1 had provoded information on several previous federal affidavits and had never provided any information that had been found to be knowingly false or unreliable.

b) On December 16, 1987, FBI-1 stated that Gilcreast was using a telephone at his residence (at 4322 East Mt. Morris Rd, Mt Morris Twp., Michigan) for betting . Drivers license records and telephone records showed that Aonie and Frances Gilcrest lived at 4322 east Mt. Morris Road in Mt. Morris Township, Michigan.

c) On March 7, 1988, D/S Juhasz, from the Michigan State Police, seized four plastic garbage bags from the curb in front of 4322 East Mt. Morris Road. Inside these bags were found numerous items of evidence, including slips of paper apparently stating daily amounts of bets ("business") placed with numerous numbers of runners (identified by code name) ; amount of winning bets ("hits") for each runner; and the resulting gain or loss. The dATES RANGED FROM "2-15-88 " until "3-5". There were adding machine tapes adding six daily numbers to reach a weekly total. There were slips showing winning numbers for both the Michigan and the Illinois State lotteries. One "week tape" totaled $27,992.10.

d) On march 10, 1988, a search warrant was authorized by United States magistrate-Judge Marc Goldman, Eastern District of Michigan, Flint, for the residence at 4322 east Mt. Morris Road. Seized during the execution of the search warrant were business records, a numbers slip, $57,922.00 in U>S> currency, payroll checks, and numerous other financial documents.

e) The seized gambling and business records were forwarded to the FBI for analysis. The analysis indicated that wagers totaled $27,486.52 on 2/15/88 and 415,199.83 on 2/16/88. In addition a fifty-fifty "split book" was reviewed. Six individuals were identified by initials and code as being agents in this operation. Also, evidence indicated Gil, Diane and Juli were identified as being involved and/or associated with the numbers operation. Latent fingerprint examination revealed that Frances Gilcrest had possessed some of the seized documents.

f) Aonie Gilcrest had been arrested by the Flint Police Department in approximately 1980 for Frequenting a gambling joint.

The United Staes Attorney Stephen J. Markham and Joyce Todd, assistant U.S. Attorney signed the documents requesting forfeiture of the money.

The Civil Cover Sheet also indicated under forfeiture/penalty "625 Drug related seizure/property although other documents did not elaborate.

Consent Judgement of Forfeiture by Judge Nancy G. Edmunds ordered 90% of the currency would be forfeited to the United states of America. Aonie Gilcreast, through his attorney Christopher A. Andreoff, received 10% or $5,792.20.

"The parties further stipulate that as provided in Title 28 USC 2465, the United States and or its agents had reasonable cause for the seizure of defendant currency"

Genesee County taxpayer bill on park ranger lawsuit: $400,000

By Ron Fonger | rfonger1@mlive.com
on September 27, 2012 at 7:30 AM, updated September 27, 2012 at 2:08 PM

GENESEE COUNTY, MI -- The county has agreed to pay a former and current park ranger $400,000 to settle a lawsuit that claimed they were disciplined for ticketing a politically connected man.

The county Board of Commissioners agreed to the settlement last week, and Interim Corporation Counsel Celeste Bell said Wednesday that $350,000 of the settlement would come from county funds with $50,000 coming from a secondary insurance plan.

The tickets were issued in June 2011 against Aonie Gilcrest, husband of Frances Gilcreast, president of the Flint branch of the NAACP. The rangers claimed Aoine Gilcrest failed to yield to a firetruck that had its lights and siren activated and initially failed to stop for police.

In April, the state Attorney General's Office ruled there was "no legitimate basis" for pursuing the charges against Gilcreast after prosecutors in Genesee and Ingham counties recused themselves from the case.

"We were in a no-win situation," said county board Chairman Jamie Curtis. "You try to make the best decision with the least liability."

Tom Pabst, who represented rangers Michael O’Leary and Adam Thrash in the Whistleblower Protection Act complaint, said the settlement shows "these guys did nothing wrong."

Pabst pointed the finger at Parks Director Amy McMillan in a written statement for trying "to get ... O’Leary to void the ticket, claiming he was out of his assigned area and didn’t handle the whole matter well.

"McMillan is not a trained police officer, and never went through the police academy that police officers normally go through," Pabst said of her involvement.

" I think the worst thing that happened was theese guys were accused of being incompetent cops and being racist -- like they were hassling Mr. Gilcreast because he was black," Pabst said.

McMillan's office referred questions to attorneys involved in the settling the case. The Flint Journal could not reach Aoine Gilcrest for comment.

McMillan has said previously that the discipline against the rangers was a direct result of their conduct after making the Gilcrest traffic stop -- not because they issued tickets.

Curtis said there were mistakes made that led to the situation and there have been policy and personnel changes in the parks system based on lessons learned from the case.

"It's a shame it cost what it did. We paid the price to learn," Curtis said.

Pabst said Thrash was suspended without pay for 10 days while O'Leary was fired after the incident. A county Sheriff's Department paramedic deputy who authorized park rangers to stop Gilcreast was also suspended without pay for 10 days.

Richard L. Cunningham, criminal division chief for the Attorney General Bill Schuette, said in a June letter, "After reviewing the findings of our attorney, and considering the statements made by the witnesses, I have concluded that there is no legitimate basis for further action."

"Within the scope of prosecutorial discretion, I am thus closing our file without recommending any criminal charges."

From the Flint Talk thread on the lawsuit against former Mayor Donald Williamson and the City of Flint regarding the Citizen's Service Bureau

Sparks attended 3 union meetings and 2 City Council meetings, and was a member of APPL. Sparks was told to "back off" by Williamson's council ally, Darryl Buchanan. Sparks spoke out at a City Council meeting that was televised by a Flint news station.
The Union meetings were held in the City health Dome on December 8, 2006 and

On December 18, 20006 Sparks, Hamilton and others were transferred. The transfers were beyond Chief Hagler's control as they were signed by the mayor personally. This was the only time a Mayor ever signed a transfer

When Sparks approached Council President Darryl Buchanan, he was told the Mayor was upset with Sparks for speaking out and if he had "backed off" like he was instructed, he would still be in the Detective Bureau.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The issue is that Mayor Weaver gives the appearance of being unable to function as Flint's mayor because of the influence of people like Gilcreast, Buchanan and others. Would Snyder be willing to pay for Gilcreast if Weaver were capable of leading on her own. A.C. Dumas has advocated paying Gilcreast because Gilcreast has been running the City without being indemnified or even a City employee. That is the job of the City Manager.

Weaver campaigned for Buchanan and Buchanan gave her campaign a $2,000 donation as did his boss, the owner of Universal EMS. Weaver then gave Universal EMS a lease contract for 3 fire stations.

Does Governor Snyder recognize her inability to govern or is he setting the City up for failure. The State's mismanagement of the pension funds have Flint and other cities facing possible bankruptcy in -5 years according to the Lansing State Journal.

When Walling and Williamson fought against each other for mayor, Williamson took a story from reporter Jim Kiertzner about Walling paying Stanley as a consultant and being Stanley's puppet. It was a damaging political ad and Walling tried to use it against Weaver. It was not as successful but some political pundits and social media comments indicate that many still believe it.

Concerns raised over influence of volunteer mayoral advisor in Flint

FLINT, MI - Flint City Council members want to know how much influence one of the mayor's advisors has at City Hall.

Aonie Gilcreast is not on the city's payroll but is a common sight at meetings, including job interviews with prospective city employees.

His presence has spurred a number of questions on what exactly Gilcreast does for the city.

"It's one thing to have an advisor," said Flint City Councilwoman Kate Fields. "It's another thing having someone sitting in your office making decisions and they are not a city employee. That's not correct.

Weaver said Gilcreast has not violated any city policies and declined to answer questions about him.

"He hasn't done anything wrong," Weaver said. "That is all I have to say."

Gilcreast, a former club owner who says he still owns rental property in the city, contends that he has done nothing wrong.

He typically comes to City Council meetings with or without the mayor, sits in on committee meetings and can often be found at city hall.

"I am just a volunteer," Gilcreast said. "I'm no different than any other volunteer at city hall."

He declined to elaborate on his role with the city but said he is Weaver's "key" advisor.

Gilcreast said he worked as Weaver's campaign manager and helped her win election.

"I'm no stranger to politics," said Gilcreast. "How does one be a total stranger to politics and you beat Dayne Walling."

Gilcreast said he has lived in Flint area for decades and has a degree in political science from the University of Arkansas.

In addition to being a local businessman, Gilcreast said he has been involved in politics and worked campaigns Flint's first black elected mayor Jim Sharp, former mayor, Woodrow Stanley and Darryl Buchanan who lost the mayor's race to Walling in 2011.

"I am one of the most recognized men in Flint," said Gilcreast who owned Hollywood East, a popular Flint night club he opened in 1985. "I've been successful."

Gilcreast, who is married to Flint NAACP President Frances Gilcreast, has also served as the group's political action chairman.

In May, Fields sent an inquiry to city's human resource department regarding claims that Gilcreast participated in a personnel meeting.

Fields asked the city's attorneys if Gilcreast's participation in hirings, firings and interviews for the city is a liability and she also asked the human resource department if he has sat in on interviews for city positions, participated in any hirings, interviews, and/or firings of city employees.

"There isn't anything in this city that doesn't happen without him being part of the city," Fields said. "We think there may be a violation of labor law. But the problem is, there's no clear cut rule book or guide book that says what we can do about this."

Fields said city council was recently given a memo from Flint City Administrator Sylvester Jones to City Clerk Inez Brown regarding council's questions on the scope of Gilcreast's authority, why is he allowed to make decisions regarding city business and has he participated in hiring decisions.

"Mr. Aonie Gilcreast is a volunteer," Jones told Brown. "He does not make DECISIONS on City of Flint business and contracts."

Jones also wrote that Gilcreast has sat in on interviews for the City of Flint along with other volunteers including Michael McDaniel who serves as coordinator for Weaver's Fast Start program replacing water lines in Flint homes, and Dr. Laura Sullivan who participates on water committees and KWA.

The letter went to further say that Gilcreast is a volunteer who has "offered advice on matter related to the Water Crisis."

In a separate letter given to council, Human Resources and Labor Relations Director Charley McClendon said Gilcreast was present during the interviews for the city's Department of Public Works Director post in April.

"Aonie Gilcreast entered midway through the first interview and sat in the back of the room...Mr. Gilcreast walked to the panelist during the interview and talked to the panelist. He conferred with the panelist after the interview was conducted and was present for every interview.

The letter also said Gilcreast was in a meeting between Jones and former assistant to the city administrator Sean Kammer, where Kammer's job performance was discussed - a meeting where Kammer resigned.

"Mr. Gilcreast was present, wherein Mr. Kammer's job performance was discussed," wrote McClendon in the May 16 letter. "The meeting became contentious and resulted in Mr. Kammer resigning that day, March 31, 2016."

The issue was on the agenda for a July 6 committee meeting but the meeting was cancelled due to lack of quorum.

"We've asked questions about his role and his responsibilities," Nelson said. "This is who the mayor has selected to be her top advisor. He is who he is. He's not an employee of the city Flint. He's not a department head. He's an advisor."
The issue will come up at a future meeting, officials said.

From a story in the Detroit Free Press "Flint's new Mayor has baptism by fire-and water" by Matt Helms on march 21, 2016.

"Weaver said she was asked in 2011 to volunteer for the mayoral campaign of Darryl Buchanan, who unsuccessfully ran against incumbent Mayor Dayne Walling, the man Weaver defeated in November amid the growing water crisis.

Weaver said she learned a lot during Buchanan's campaign about the plight of Flint, a once-bustling city full of manufacturing jobs, powerful unions and civic pride, now left starving for jobs due to General Motors plant closings. Added to the mix was the fact that city government was careening toward a state takeover and the appointment of an emergency manager."

Sold out by Mayor Karen Weaver
Mayor Karen Weaver claims she met with Governor Snyder on her concern about Snyder stopping water credits for Flint residents. We REALY don't know what she talked to Snyder about during their closed door meeting. But we do know two things for sure. (1) Snyder is not going to extend the water credit for Flint residents. (2) Weaver met with Snyder and the Governor's right hand, Rich Beard about allowing her to hire Aoni "Gil" Gilcreast as her advisor at a salary of $120,000 dollars a year from the Water Crisis Fund. This was agreed upon if the City Council agreed. We'll the City Council did not agree and as a result her request was not on the Council Agenda. Weaver is notorious for calling press conferences as instructed by Aoni "Gil" Gilcreast, when she has dropped the ball on taking care of city business in an attempt to do damage control, and give the people a false impression that she care and is fighting for their best interest. The reality is that Weaver was not focused on meeting the requirements to continue the water credit on behalf of the people. Weaver was too busy fighting for a $120,000 dollar Advisor salary to be paid out of the Water Crisis Fund for Aoni "Gil" Gilcreast and fighting to give RIZZO Trash Collection a $19Million dollar contract. Woodrow Stanley worked as a Consultant for RIZZO and if the Mayor and Gilcreast would have been successful in getting RIZZO'S $19-Million Dollar contract approved through City Council, Woodrow Stanley would have received a Consultant fee ranging up to $2-Million dollars. Because Weaver was so determined to position RIZZO to help her buddy Woodrow and Gil she under the advisement of Gil, called a State of Emergency without City Council approval. There was no Emergency because Republic was on contract to pick up Flint' trash. Weaver calling the Emergency opened the door for her to give RIZZO a contract. As a result the City residents tax dollars were being used to pay for two Garbage companies because Weaver lied about an State Emergency. Clearly, Gil has Weaver in the bed with the Governor and they have promised not to fight against the governor and in return Gil is allowed to call the shots on Flint, and have control over who gets contracts, who is hired and fired and Gil would get a $120,000 dollar salary. But the salary promised backfired because the City Council are not in support of Gil getting paid to serve as the Mayor's advisor. In reality Weaver has broken ALL her campaign promises to the people and her focus has been to make ALL of Aoni "Gil" Gilcreast wishes her command. The people of the City of Flint have been BAMBOOZLED by Weaver, Gilcreast and Stanley. Gil has prostituted the mind of Weaver and Weaver is fighting to open the door for Gil a undelivered hustler with a pimp mentality to prostitute the tax dollars of the people of Flint in the amount of $120,000 per year. I DON'T think so. Heaven forbid

BREAKING NEWS Flint tax payers should know. Mayor Weaver has done it again. She has slapped the people right in the face with her and "Gil's" slick hustling tactics at the expense of tax payers. There was so much hell raised by the people about WEAVER wanting to hire Aoni "Gil" Gilcreast her personal volunteer at a salary of $120.00 dollars per year, the City Council refused to let her request come on the City Council agenda. Weaver became pissed off with the City Council because they wouldn't agree to her hiring "Gil" at $120.00 dollars a year. So in her determination to give "Gil" the money that he wants, and to push "Gil" down the people's throat, Weaver and "Gil" made a slick move that she will hire "Gil" on a Personal Agreement Contract (PSA) in the amount of $65, 000 dollars per year and she wants him paid back 15 months retroactive because she says he has been serving as her personal Volunteer for the past 15-months and she wants him paid for it. So that mean "Gil" will get paid $145,000 dollars the 1st year. Now what you should know is that the Mayor can hire a person on a Personal Service Agreement (PSA) for less than $75, 000 dollars and avoid going to the City Council for approval. What a slick move. Not surprising because "Gil" a known hustler with a pimp mentality has taught Mayor Karen Weaver how to be a SLICK hustler. The $65,000 dollars do fall under the $75,000 dollars but when you add in the additional $89,000 dollars that "Gil" would be paid retroactively it takes the Personal Agreement Contract to $145,000 dollars that exceed $75,000 dollars. Therefore, would require City Council approval. I will make this a public issue with the Flint City Council. Weaver is so darn focus on getting "Gil" who is known as the head man paid that she has totally dropped the ball on fighting for the best interest of the people and especially those who voted for her. As a result of her lack of focus and being on top of her game she lost the window of opportunity to fight for an extension on the water credits. Weaver lied and said she only got a two week notice while knowing darn well she received a letter from the Governor's office in December informing her that the water credits would be stooped at the end of February. The Governor has made this letter available. If WEAVER would focus as much time helping the people as she do trying to figure out ways to give "Gil' money, then Flint would be better off. I never thought I would say this but I strongly feel it's time for a RECALL. They ONLY way to get rid of " Gil" and his corruptive motives and stop him from calling the shots on Flint Business and tax payers money Weaver got to go and the easiest way to remove Weaver is through a RECALL. Flint can NOT afford to go the next 2 1/2 years with "Gil" serving as the Chief Mayor. Heaven forbid. Think on this and be Blessed.

Aonshea Inc. was a refreshment distribution system by Gilcreast that operated on Flint golf courses. My recollection is Aonshea used females on golf carts to distribute. The City sued and eventually received an accounting of what funds were owed to the city .The case was bumped over to the county district courts and was not settled until 2001, A proposed settlement was to go to council on 10-6-1999, but it never happened and several mandatory settlement meetings appeared to be unproductive. The case originated under Stanley's administration and was initially head by Judge Ransom. There was a question of liability over a liquor license. The judgement for the City was $1,784.00 and Court Costs while Gilcreast's counterclaim was denied for "no cause for action".

The correct title of a PSA is Professional Service Agreement and that is linked to $20,000 limit. However Weaver is close to Buchanan and he successfully subverted the process. Buchanan as Ombudsman issued PSA's without proper signatures and during her termination trials that became an issue. The Finance department improperly allowed the unsigned PSA's to go forward instead of referring the m to City council and the City Attorney. The City Attorney must sign off on every PSA and the Finance Director must sign off that there are sufficientfunds available in the proper funds and line items.

Gilcreast and the Weaver administration have countered all complaint with the assertion Gilcreast was a volunteer and not an employee. A volunteer does not get paid and if Weaver tries it council will oppose it.

Weaver can spend up to $75,000 for an emergency, but Gilcreast is hardly an emergency.

FLINT, MI -- A Flint resident has decided to move forward with his push to remove Mayor Karen Weaver from her seat as the city's leader.

Arthur Woodson has submitted a second round of language to recall Weaver.

"Mayor Karen Weaver, on signed September 22, 2016 signed an emergency waste collection contract with Rizzo Environmental Service(s)," reads the language filed with the Genesee County Clerk's Office on Feb. 24.

Woodson, who withdrew previously-filed recall language against Weaver on Jan. 27, said he changed his mind and decided to file again after Weaver failed to keep promises she allegedly made during a meeting Woodson claims he had with her on the same day he withdrew the language.

Weaver has not confirmed if she met with Woodson and MLive-The Flint Journal could not immediately reach Flint's spokeswoman Kristin Moore for comment.

Flint Mayor Karen Weaver is still receiving backlash for her administration's support of trying to hire a trash hauler now under federal investigation for corruption months after the city's controversial garbage contract has been settled.

"I'm doing this for the simple fact that she did not do what she said she was going to do," said Woodson. "I want (Woodrow) Stanley and (Aonie) Gilcreast out of city hall."

Both Stanley and Gilcreast serve as advisers for Weaver.

Just recently, the state confirmed Weaver was seeking to pay Gilcreast $120,000 a year for his services.

Gov. Rick Snyder's spokeswoman Anna Heaton confirmed the state got word Weaver wants to put Aonie Gilcreast on the city's payroll.

A hearing on March 8 in Chief Probate Jennie Barkey's courtroom on the new recall language.

Woodson cites the Flint's trash controversy as one of his reasons for wanting to remove Weaver from office.

The city's trash dispute began in June 2016 when the Flint City Council voted 8-1 against Weaver's recommendation to hire Rizzo to haul the city's garbage. Eric Mays was the sole opposing vote.

Woodson's withdrawn language was over the same issue. The initial language read as follows:

"Mayor Karen Weaver used the emergency purchase waste collection services to give a contract to Rizzo Environmental Service(s), while signing an extension with Republic Waste Services, causing the tax payers to pay two waste collection services."

Woodson, who was threatened with a lawsuit by Rizzo in July 2016, then argued that because a Genesee County judge had an order in place for the city to continue using Republic Waste Services to haul Flint's trash that was no real trash emergency.

In October 2016, it was reported that Rizzo Environmental Services was under federal investigation for bribery and corruption. Since then, at least three officials have been arrested and charged in Macomb and Clinton townships.

Shortly after the October investigation made news, Weaver and the city council settled their ongoing garbage dispute and decided to continue contracting with Republic Services to haul Flint's trash.

This is the fourth attempt to get recall language approved against Weaver approved.

Flint resident Alex Harris filed recall language in November and December 2016 to be met with disapproval from the Genesee County Election Commission, which must approve the language before it can head to voters.

If it is approved by the three-person commission, Weaver will still be able to appeal the decision in court. If the language makes it through court, Woodson will have the task of getting enough signatures to move forward with putting Weaver's recall on the ballot.

Woodson will have 60 days to collect signatures.
